If you like to adventure Taormina stay in the city of Taormina. Commute is inconvenient from hotel location with bus hourly times ending at midnight. Hotel was not smoke free and air conditioning was broken so worked very little

Nice hotel.
Very nice hotel close to the sea front. Excellent staff. The hotel is close to bus stops and not far from the Taormina Railway Station.

'Sea view' disappointing
The best thing about this hotel is that it is close to the Interbus bus stop taking you to Taoramina, Catania and Siracusa. The photo of the sea view room is just a bit deceiving - there are two very busy roads and buildings between you and the sea and not very relaxing sitting out in the balcony - as soon as you open the patio doors you are hit by the noise. We did, however, have prime position for the Easter procession to the church. The staff are pleasant and the room clean. There are no coffee making facilities. The breakfast seems typical for Sicily - cheese, ham, breads, cake, cereal, yoghurt

My wife and I are from Thunder Bay ( Marisa and Frank) and spent 2 days here with friends from Toronto in July of 2017. The hotel is in a good location convenient for the beach and plenty of restaurants in the area. The room was a good size and is extremely clean, and was kept clean throughout our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. They offered a good continental selection for breakfast which was more than adequate. The location is easy to get to with the bus stop very close to the Hotel and only 10 minutes from the train station. Location is also is exceptional for easy access to the private beach, which is just across the street for a relaxing day in the sun. If you wish to enjoy a great dinner, we recommend Lido da Angelo Giardini Naxos right across the street from the hotel, in front of the bus stop, Great service and beautiful sea views , the food is not only inexpensive but tasty and large portions, they specialize in fish dishes, with authentic Sicilian cuisine. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel San Giovanni.

Great location
Perfect hotel for a couple of nights. Breakfast was substantial, rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were pleasant and helpful. Across the street from the beach and bus stop.

Lovely hotel with great sea views
Lovely little bijou hotel with great sea views from the front rooms. The hotel staff were excellent and provided us with all the information requested. Great bus service from the airport to the hotel and back at a very reasonable cost. The tour of Etna is not to be missed. We would be very happy to return in the future.

a reasonable hotel at a good price
We got off the bus from catania airport and found the hotel right across the street, very convenient. There are trains running nearby, but not frequently and not overnight.

Hotel in the heart of town
I enjoyed this hotel. I wish there was parking but the hotel accomodated me for my stay which was very nice of them. The hotel is perfectly located in Giardini and is a 15 euro taxi to Taormina from the Naxos train station and a 20 euro taxi return from Excelsior Hotel in Taormina. I enjoyed all the shops and tons of free beach space and lidos. Next time, bring ear plugs because it is on the main road heading out of town and the traffic never stops. The breakfast and staff were wonderful. Take cash... credit card machines are always down in Sicily. I would stay again. We had a room with a balcony that offered a wonderful view of the ocean.

Ein zwar in die Jahre gekommenes aber wohlduftendes süßes Hotel mit sehr zuvorkommenden und sehr sehr netten Personal!!!Es befindet sich zwar an der Hauptstrasse aber die Zimmer hinten heraus sind absolut ruhig!!!Wir haben das Hotel ausschließlich nur zum Schlafen,duschen und Frühstück genutzt und waren den ganzen Tag unterwegs.Wer auch aktiv ist und mehr von der Umgebung sehen möchte,was sich echt lohnt,der ist in diesem Hotel sehr gut aufgehoben!!!!Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und sagen DANKE!!!

Sömnlösanätter!
Stannade 7-nätter, stenhårda sängar och riktigt dålig ljudisolering ut mot gatan. Högljud trafik och karaoke direkt utanför till kl 12 på natten, så det blev inte mycket sömn. Riktigt dålig frukost, mestadels bakverk till frukost och ägg som var kokta dagen innan. Rekommenderar inte detta hotell!

Отель абсолютно удобен для отдыха. Уютные и чистые номера, у самого моря, на пляже которого есть WiFi. Доброжелательный персонал отеля настроен на решение любых вопросов, возникающих во время вашего отдыха. Автобусные остановки и в сторону Таормины, и в сторону Аэропорта в 100 метрах от отеля, что очень удобно. У отеля есть собственная платная парковка в трёх минутах ходьбы, но можно припарковаться и на улице. Недалеко местные продуктовые магазинчики, самый ближний из них- винотека с большущим выбором, возможностью как продегустировать напиток, так и устроить ужин прямо там. Завтрак по-сицилийски скромен, но голодным никогда не уйдёте- и фрукты, и овощи и нарезка- все присутствует. А какая выпечка... Из минусов отмечу единственный- слабый WiFi в номере. Видимо зависит от расположения номера, поскольку на остальной территории отеля все работало отлично.

Complessivamente l’hotel è gradevole. Struttura nuova, pulizia eccellente e personale gentile. Ma la scritta “parking” situato sotto l’insegna e sulla saracinesca è ingannevole, messa solo per attirare la clientela. Loro hanno a disposizione solo due posti auto di fronte l’hotel (perennemente occupati) e si appoggiano ad un parcheggio distante una cinquantina di metri, sempre piano anche quello, a pagamento (10€ al giorno). Inoltre ci è stato possibile solo una volta parcheggiare nei posti riservati, e dopo il nostro check-out abbiamo chiesto, vedendo il posto libero, di poter parcheggiare per sostare ancora un po’ ai giardini, ma ci è stato risposto che stavano aspettando un’altra macchina che sarebbe arrivata dopo un ora o due, trattamento che a noi non è stato riservato al nostro arrivo anzi, abbiamo sempre dovuto mettere la macchina nelle strisce blu pagando il parchimetro (perchè come dicevo anche l’altro parcheggio era sempre pieno). Inoltre nella camera anziché esserci un letto matrimoniale come da prenotazione, c’erano due lettini uniti con l’unisci materasso.

Fint hotell nærme stranden. Vi hadde economy rom, rommet var ok og veldig rent. Personalet var hyggelig og hjalp oss med parkering, strandhåndklær og generell info. Helhets inntrykket ble litt svekket da aircondition ikke fungerte og vi fikk ikke nytt rom før siste natten, frokosten var også litt kjedelig.

La vista dalla camera era tutt'altro che incantevole. Peraltro ci è stata assegnata una camera con bagno per portatori di handicap, il che ha comportato che tra parte della pavimentazione risultasse bagnata dopo la doccia. Per il resto nulla da dire.

La habitación era horrible. Pequeña, incómoda, con ventana interna a una pared (no jardín como anunciaban) El baño con un box de ducha muy pequeño. No tiene parking. El que ofrecen está a 3 cuadras.
