The hotel was convinient, but bed mattres is too old. We could feel the srings in our backs. A change in the mattreses is overdue.

They offer inexpensive parking. The breakfast is really good. The bus stop to get into Venice is only a block away. They also sell bus tickets at the hotel front desk and give advice of how to navigate Venice and restaurant recommendations. This was very convenient. Will definitely recommend this place to stay when visiting Venice.

Great hotel
From friendliness to great breakfast to immaculate Tina and common areas, this is a great hotel. And nicely decorated. Location near train is good too. Rooms are adequate with large bathroom for international travelers. Americans the first time out of their insular country will find the bedroom small, bathroom quite adequate. I will not rate eco friendliness as I consider it a false, trendy, elite, now trite crock of posturing nonsense. Pollution, while it should be minimized to an economic extent is what we who are not rich hypocrites or lying hypocrite legacy "journalists" is what has given us, the middle class and liver lower regal lifestyles compared to what lying hypocrites in the eco-movement would have for us.

Great place to stay outside of the main city, convenient options for bus and train transport to venice. Lot’s of mosquitos in September so definitely bring bug spray.

Hotel Cris, was located a 5 min walk from Venice Mestre train station. The hotel was very clean and staff on reception friendly and helpful. You can get the number 75 from nearby that goes direct to Venice. Would definitely stay here again

I stayed with family in a triple room for a night in Venice after a cruise. The hotel is very well presented, clean, and comfortable. Staff on reception were lovely and very helpful. The hotel is an easy 5/7 minute walk from Mestre train station, and the bus going into Venice is a 2 minute walk. The only slight markdown is that whilst the room had air conditioning, it was not the strongest so the room got a little stuffy. But I opened a window to let some cooler air in and it was fine. I would definitely return to this hotel.

I wanted an inexpensive but nice place to stay for one night while in Venice. I always wanted to be within short walking distance from the Mestre train station. Hotel Cris was the perfect place! It was really easy to get to (near the train and bus into Venice) and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was small but had everything I needed. The breakfast spread was impressive!! Definitely recommend especially if you’re not looking for a fancy place but want to feel safe and welcome.

The staff are amazing, very helpful and friendly. The hotel was close to the bus and train station so only a short bus ride to Venice which the hotel staff had ticks for. Overall the hotel was nice the only things we didn’t like were the hard bed and lack of coffee/tea making in the room. Also, the shower space is quite small, and I’m not a large person. Otherwise it is a great hotel for small families.

Genuinely nice staff are a real asset to this hotel. Hotel Cris is just off the main road so quiet yet easy to find, clean, comfy beds, varied breakfast. It's an excellent base to explore Venice and the surrounding area. I don't do many reviews however wanted to say "Thank you" to the people who work here!

Great choice for Venice and the surrounding area
Great location, so close to the Mestre train station which was handy for day trips to Ferrara, Verona and Padova as well as the direct bus service to the airport. The breakfast was fresh and had a decent variety of items. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The morning of my departure my phone's screen started going black, so i asked whether they could print out my boarding pass and ticket for the airport bus, which they were more than happy to oblige. Lastly, great value for money and the No 2 bus which was literary around the corner took just 15 minutes into venice.

The hotel itself was OK. The locked front door for the lobby( you have to ring doorbell and be buzzed in) was a definite red flag. As a female tourist, I did not feel safe on the streets unless my husband was with me. The hotel is only half a mile from the Mestre train station which was a plus. The hotel does not have an elevator so we had to schlep our very heavy suitcases up to the second floor. The minuscule shower was present, I guess thats a European thing. By American standards the room was also tiny. But the staff was very helpful, the buffet breakfast was wonderful, and the coffee was, as always, amazing. The bus stop for a 15 minute ride over to the Grand Canal in Venice is very close so the value of the hotel stay, in my opinion, offset the inconvenience. Limited dining in the area. So depending on your budget and your preferences, it was a good value.

We stayed in Mestre rather than Venice proper due to price of lodging and were glad we did. The bus stop to Venice was right around the corner from Hotel Cris, and the hotel receptionist (Anna) was extremely helpful in getting us acclimated. We were also pleased to learn that parking was right at the hotel and behind locked iron gates. The hotel is not fancy, but we found it comfortable and breakfast was included. We would recommend that anyone who has their eyes trained on the bottom line stay here. One final note: We were traveling to Mestre from Cortina d'Ampezzo, and the highway signage practically led us right to where we needed to be.

The staff are very friendly. The location is not far from train station. Bus to Venice is close by. The breakfast time is a bit late starting from 7:30am. Would be ideal if it can start at 7:00am. Also air cond was not available during the period that we stayed.

The hotel is clean and in very good condition. The room and bathroom are spacious. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is good, and the hotel offers complimentary gated parking. The only slight downturn is the location--indeed within short walking distance from both public transportation and the main train station, but the proximity to the street makes it inconvenient to open the slate shutter blinds. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel was nice. We walked from the train station just a few blocks. Then took the very close bus to the water taxi to get into Venice. The hotel sold the bus and water taxi passes, so it was very easy. Nice breakfast too!

The hotel was as described on the web site. The young lady on duty when we arrived was very pleasant and quickly got us registered and to our room. She also provided detailed information on how to use the local bus system to get to Venice. They even had the tickets to buy at the hotel.

Excellent staff that was so helpful with anything we asked. Georgia was so helpful with check In, directions, transportation tickets, and more. They even buzzed us in to the parking lot as we approached before we had checked in. Parking was limited but not a problem the night we checked in. There is a bus stop about a block away that takes you straight to the transportation area on the island to catch a water taxi. When we came back on the bus there are signs that direct you to the Cris Hotel. The breakfast was very good.
