Conveniently located

The hotel is conveniently close to Fat City, a sector of Metaire full of restaurants featuring a high diversity regarding type of food and price ranges. It's also close to the I-10, one of the mayor highways of New Orleans, on which it may take just a 10-15 minutes ride to cover the 7 miles distance to the French Quarter or the Business District. The employees were extremely kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and well equipped. However, the building is ugly, decayed and worn, and although the room was clean, the catwalks were not, showing noticeable cigarettes butts and other small pieces of garbage all over the place. Chef Ron's Gumbo Stop is just next door. It's a small, modest Louisiana food restaurant, directly and proudly operated by its owner/chef. Very good food, worth of visiting, but it's the only place of interest within walking distance from the hotel. For anything else you need to have a car or use taxi services. Good place to stay if you're driving and budget conscious.

Front Desk was a little rude

Front desk was rude when called upon when housekeeper skipped our room without even knocking or going in. Our second room reserved was completely skipped and no clean towels were given. Towels had hair in them and sink linked a little.

Very clean hotel and it was very close to my event

Not Clean Room

Pros: None
Cons: Cleaniness
Room is not clean at all...Coffee maker has water + insect in it....Also saw some cockroaches in the room...Overall Not good at all.

Room had pet odor..air cinditioner is at bed level..hard to keep reel cool..floor was dirty
