Good, clean hotel in a nice area.

The hotel was clean and bug free!! It was located in a nice area off the interstate, and it was connected to an IHOP restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful, too. I would suggest this hotel to people not familiar with the area.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Paint peeling from the bathroom walls, toilet barely flushes, missing drawer knobs, and the 'free breakfast' is literally a card for the ihop next door that only covers the cost of a coffee and a piece of toast. I felt very mislead by the amenities this hotel provides (allegedly) and was also charged additional fees that the staff ASSURED me I wouldn't be charged. When we originally booked our room we accidentally booked for 2 adults instead of 4. I called to change my booking in case it was more expensive and was told that there would be no extra cost and not to worry about it. 3 days after our trip we're charged an additional $80 for having 4 people in the room, and when we brought up the additional charges they told us that they could have doubled the charges and that we should be greatful. I'm not super high maintenance and the room did its job of giving me a place to sleep, but getting charged EXTRA for a hotel that did the bare minimum definitely made it 100x worse. Im pretty disappointed and in my 6 years of travel I've never had a stay so poor. I guess you pay for location, but even that isn't super great. I don't typically write bad reviews, but this is the first time I've genuinely felt taken advantage of and I'm pretty bummed about it. I had high hopes for this place but my experience fell flat.

Thank you for staying with us. Please reach out to us directly regarding the room you were in so we can address any issue that may need to be addressed in the room. We go through all of our rooms regularly for preventative maintenance and want to make sure everything is addressed. Also I will have a meeting with all front desk staff to address how they speak to and handle explaining things to our guests. In regards to the extra person fee, yes we do charge additional for more than 2 adults. When booking a reservation if you put 3 or 4 guests in at the time of booking it will change the rate accordingly. Hotel was paid in full 3 weeks before stay. Upon arrival, I was charged $30 a night ($90 total) for a security deposit. Instead of putting a hold for that amount, they actually charged it to my bank card. The most frustrating thing was being charged for the full stay a SECOND TIME after already paying in full. My bank card was tied up with funds from the security deposit as well as a second payment charge. I was short on money during my entire trip to New Orleans because of this. At first, the clerk said the charge was only on hold and would not affect my balance, but it did. She also said the charge would “fall off” when I checked out, but this did not help me any during my vacation as those funds were not available to me. The day I checked out, she said it had been released, but it had not. I had to call my bank and call the front desk and do a 3-way call to get it straightened out and refunded. It was such a mess and kept me from doing what I wanted to do on vacation because I was out of pocket several hundred dollars. If visiting New Orleans, I would recommend staying somewhere who won’t charge you an amount you’ve already paid.

Not Happen :(

Pros: The front desk person (Wendy) was great !!
Cons: Your service over all see above (noise, WI FI and phone)!!
Location: The location was not good, the only near by thing was the airport. Any other things you needed to drive 5-10 miles into New Orleans!!
Hotel not in a good area, every morning at approx. 4:00am trucks would pull up at the back of hotel picking up and/or dropping off heavy materials, that would be our wake up alarm, and we were on the 4th flood to be away from the noise, well that did not work! After two mornings of this, we went to the front desk asking to be moved to another room on the other side away from the trucks/noise we were told there were no rooms Open on the other side, Not Very Happen About That!! Their Wi Fi only worked for me one time/night after that there was nothing I could not connect, the phone in our room was not working for (7 days) the hold time we were there according to the front desk the phone line was down they (Hotel) would call for service which never showed up, Not Happen.The breakfast they (Hotel) offered was coffee or juice and toast or muffin. I would not stay there again!!

Thank you for staying with us. I am sorry you were not happy with your stay. The dumpster is located in the rear of the hotel and that is emptied every morning. We are located just off the interstate about 10 minutes from the airport and about 12 minutes from downtown New Orleans. In regards to the telephone in the room not working it was not an issue that our in-house maintenance could address. We had to call an outside phone company to service the line. They will not come in and service a room until it is vacant. It has been fixed since than. We have not had an other complaints regarding the Wi-Fi and I personally connect every day on my phone to verify there are no issues. We do provide a service number if you are having difficulty connecting your individual device. We strive to make sure all of our guest have the best stay possible.

Easy access to downtown and events

Pros: convenient location. friendly staff
Location: located at 1-10 and Causeway but no problem with sound from road.
Very reasonable accommodations for the price. Convenient location. Staff friendly and very helpful. Will stay here again

Very nice stay

Pros: clean, quiet
We found the Staff to be very friendly and helpful. we requested late checkout at 12pm. and there was no problem. room was very clean and nice. Uber into French quarter ran an average of $19 one way, which was fine for us, about 15-20 min ride. Our room had fridge and microwave. both worked excellent. also coffee maker. we stayed 3 nights. would definitely stay again. Breakfast was advertised as continental and that's what you get, coffee and roll. advice, buy some beignets in the quarter, take them back and microwave them in room for breakfast. also, there are no mini marts or convenience stores within walking distance but they do have a fairly decent vending machine setup for snacks.

Needs work! & updating

There are only 3 reasons I did not give this a thumbs down across the review and that's because: we had a balcony, there is an IHOP attached to the property & the beds slept great. This hotel has only one way in/out, the main front door & only one elevator operating for the entire hotel!! What if an emergency happens?? One elevator?? Parking is limited (partially due to IHOP) & for 2 females who had to park in the back of the hotel and walk to the front with bags or at night, NOT SAFE! Furniture needs updates. Minor cosmetic repairs need to be done. Bathroom hardware doesn't match! Paint discoloration. Plantation shutters need attention. It's not a slum hotel, but I've definitely stayed at better. RM 357

Thank you for staying with us and providing your feedback. We appreciate it and will have maintenance address any issues we find in this room. Regarding the ONE entrance In and Out. We do have one entrance in which is the main entrance into the hotel. We do this so that we can monitor all guests entering the property. We do not want neighbors off the street roaming the halls are using the pool which would cause issues for the guests. There are three additional doors throughout the building that lead to the outside. You can use any of those to exit the building. They are Exit only, no re-entry. You MUST come through the front doors. We have two elevators on site for the 4 floor property. One elevator is located in the lobby of the hotel and the 2nd elevator is in the rear of the property.
