Hotel need alittle care new carpeting

Well worth the money.

We chose this hotel over the cheaper ones in the area because they were totally non-smoking. The breakfast alone made up the difference. We have noticed most hotels have that lingering smoke odor to them, this did not.

Ok for where it was

Had a weekend searching family genealogy in the area. The motel could use some updating. Our toilet leaked, must wear shoes as the carpet looks clean but stepping into the shower proves otherwise (dark foot prints) a/c filter stopped up with dust so didn't circulate well. Location for us was good.

The room had a smell. Staff said all the rooms smelled that way. We got used to it.

everything was great, room was clean, good breakfast, only one negative. There was spots of mold on the ceiling of the bathroom over the shower. Rest of bathroom was spotless.

Nice Lobby! Wonderful front desk and manager. Upon our arrival at our first room the room had an unknown odor and the bathroom was dirty. The manager moved us to another room which was much better than the first one.

Air conditioner didn't work. Dirty towels in bathroom from some else's stay.

Pros: The location was convenient
Cons: The property is badly in need of refreshing. The internet connection needs to be made usable.
Although it seemed clean, the room had a musty smell. The internet connection was so slow and intermittent as to be unusable. Until now I've considered Holiday Inn Express properties to be worth the price premium they command but my last two stays have not justified the 30 to 50% difference over competing hotels in the same locations.

We stay at this Holiday Inn at least twice a year sometimes maybe more. Everything is fine except having to walk past the smoking area right at the entrance. It would be nice to have the smoking area somewhere away from the front entrance.

Easy check-in, very pleasant staff, comfortable room and a great breakfast. I would stay here again if ever in the area.
