Great location but uncomfortable room.

The location of this hotel is great for exploring the Historic Center on foot. We walked and explored every day so it was nice to be able to walk back to the hotel for a mid-day rest before heading out for the evening. The breakfast every morning was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. For the most part they were able to speak at least limited English, which was a benefit as we speak only limited Spanish.
However, the comfort level of the room left a lot to be desired. We reserved an "Atrium View" room which unfortunately, offered only a view of the lobby. Additionally, the only window in the room, which looked out onto the "view", did not open. As a result the room was stuffy and warm. We tried to adjust the thermostat to make the room comfortable for sleeping but it was automatically set at a temperature much warmer than we find comfortable. Also, because we were on the first level above the lobby the noise level was high. We slept very poorly the three nights we were there due to the room temperature, stuffy air and the sounds of other guests arriving and leaving through the lobby doors.
We have definite plans to return to Mexico City but will choose a different hotel for our explorations.
