Check in was a problem as they did not know I was going to arrive and took over half an hour. The front desk knows very little English. This is an open hostel in that it is open to the outdoors. Whatever the temperature is outside is what the temperature is inside. I was on the 7th floor. The men's shared bathroom is on the 4th floor. The women's shared bathroom is on the 5th floor. There is one elevator that is heavily used and is hard to summon. It takes over 5 minutes to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, in the very cold outside air. For me, this was 43 degrees Fahrenheit. I will never ever do this again!
The hostel is in a nice part of Mexico City and has many franchise businesses. There are two Starbucks nearby. All the popular fast food restaurants are a couple of minutes away. the hostel is on a alley or walkway to the Metro and MetroBus. The foot traffic at all times of the day is very heavy with all walks of life. The night life is active, so expect loud music until very early morning.
