Great hotel with wonderful staff and older Mexico

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: The staff front desk and restaurant staff are first class and always helpful and accommodating. Changes to our hotel room were completed immediately
Cons: The beds are of the hard side for my back. I did laundry twice while at the hotel, but the maid NEVER replaced a new laundry bag or form! Frustrating!
Location: Plenty of restaurants, gyms, short walks to Paseo Reforma where one can spend hours walking up and down the lane to museums and art galore!
In the past month I have stayed in the Hotel Geneve for 3 our of the 4 weeks that I have been working in Mexico. The staff are excellent. The hotels is clean and well kept. The water pressure in the showers is to die for! Once they get the street and sidewalks repaired on the north side of the hotel this will be a perfect little charmer of a hotel.

Nice historical hotel

Posted Apr 18, 2017
Pros: Decoration in the lobby and rooms.
Cons: When we arrived, the road was being redone and was closed, the taxi had to leave us a block away. This should be advertised at booking.
Location: Very near "el angel". Starbucks everywhere.
The hotel is old with its historical charm intact. The rooms need renovation although they are very well kept. This hotel is like stepping into 1920s. If you like modern, up-to-date and spacious rooms this is not the place for you.

This hotel was excellent, almost feels like you are staying at a museum. Would definitely recommend. Great location, within walking distance to the Metro and also many shops and restaurants around.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent zone

Posted Mar 30, 2017
I had an excellent week in this hotel. I had close access to the best zones in México such as Chapultepec, Zona Rosa, Palacio Buenas Artes and shopping centers.

Not what was advertised on website.

Posted Mar 30, 2017
For being rated a four star hotel, this is not, not even close to a four star hotel. The pictures of the room are very deceiving. The bathroom was not very clean. The room is small. 23 inch TV. I never had the turn down service at night. The reception staff was not friendly at all. You need coupons for your B&B that is included with your reservations!! B&B means b d in breakfast, please correct me if I'm wrong. B&B does not mean breakfast at the restaurant with a Buffett style continental. When it states unlimited bottled water means two a day and only when your cleaning lady leaves it for you. Don't ask at the reception because they will refer you to the cleaning lady. No wash size towels, I asked and was told they didn't have any. You decide, does this make a hotel four stars? Not in my opinion. I was disappointed. The only thing I can give 5 stars is the location. It is located in a safe and beautiful part of Mexico City. And of course, the reception areas is beutiful just like the pictures.

Thank you for your review, just to explain, the breakfast that is included with the room is a fool breakfast and it is served in our restaurant, we dont seerve at the restaurant continental breakfast unless the cupon says or your reservation. Thank you
