Sophisticated, Great Location. Adults-Only Pool

Pros: Staff, staff, staff. From top to bottom they are a very impressive lot.
Cons: HVAC in room. Larger common area. POOL INACCESSIBLE FOR CHILDREN.
Location: Right on the Avenida Reforma, just fall out of your hotel and great neighborhoods are north, south, and east of you.
A well kept 5-star hotel. Common areas are beautiful, if not as large en masse as competing 5-star options; one of the great things about springing for a 5-star is the larger and classy common areas to lounge around, that was just a bit lacking. But the extra service and stellar attention to detail that you'll get from a 5-star and usually not a 4/3-star property is absolutely there at the Marquis Reforma. Our room's HVAC system seemed to keep things terribly warm at night - as they'd upgraded our space without requesting so it seemed a more than fair trade to our favor, but it was indeed hot in the room at night for some reason and I suspect a more tightly controlled HVAC maintenance check regimen for every unit would have eliminated that problem. Attend the Sunday buffet if you're there then, you'll love it and they break out all the stops. I was duly impressed with the night manager's professionalism. I would certainly stay there again and recommend to others. POOL INACCESSIBLE FOR CHILDREN; while I did really like this great hotel, it is important for future bookers that they know this going in, as we bought partly on those pictures of the pool and as the parents of 8 and 10 yr olds we could have had more quality/cultural/adventurous time to ourselves if we could have left our daughters and their phones at the pool occasionally.

Location: Reforma, Chapultepec castle and park, Anthropology Museum (aztec sun stone), museum of modern art (remedios varo)
Beautiful hotel in one of the most beautiful areas of Mexico City. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The Sunday brunch buffet is abundant, of high quality, and there is live music!

Wonderful hotel next to Chapultepec Park.

Pros: The staff was awesome. Went out of their way to make your stay perfect.
Cons: Not much in my opinion.
Location: Within walking distance to all the sights of Chapultepec Park and Zona Rosa.
Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The Staff was excellent!!! Very helpful and above all very friendly. Obed at front desk and Jaime at door went above and beyond expectations. A very special thanks to two very wonderful persons. Jesus and Cesar at the Market cafe. I can honestly say that I made two great friends in Mexico City!!! They made my stay special. Gracias mis amigos!!! Can't forget about Esther, she made the room spotless and always with a smile on her face. Again, a great big thanks to everyone!!! Look forward to seeing you again soon!!

Communication issues

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTENTION TO THEIR GUESTS!!!! Very poor welcoming - we rented a suite on purpose to have my family over for a welcome drink in our suite, but instead we were told that non guests were not welcome into our room - which is unacceptable. The front desk kept referring to their rules and policies but he was never able to show them to me. We also were not introduce to all the amenities the hotel had - I mean, if there's live music in the restaurant downstairs I'd want to know so I can come down and spend money, but no info was given to us. During the morning breakfast, they were not able to tell us that the breakfast buffet changes places on Sundays, I mean, we were told nothing! We then ordered room service and it took +1 hr to get a bottle of wine - which even ordering was a pain and took forever. It seems they don't have a good approach to satisfy their customers.

Very nice clean hotel, friendly staff, wonderful

My wife and I visited Mexico City for 5 nights at the Hotel Marquis Reforma and were very very impressed. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was impeccably clean. I can't remember if it is 5 star but if it isn't, it felt like a 5 star! My wife speaks Spanish and I speak English so many of the staff spoke in English to me and taught me some Spanish. The room was a great size and the bathroom was very spacious. All of the amenities were great including the free wifi. We ate dinner at one of the restaurants which was great and had breakfast at the buffet which was exceptionally good. We also had room service a few times which was brilliant. I highly recommend this hotel for the value for money, cleanliness, friendly and professional and super proactively-helpful staff, and its safe location. The spa and pool were also fantastic. We enjoyed deep tissue massages one evening as well as the wonderful spa facilities and swimming pool. And there is a large gym. The hotel is surprisingly quiet even though it is near a main road, and we were never disturbed by other guests even though we caught up on sleep with some late lie ins. Very highly recommend!!

Beautiful hotel close to all attraction

Cons: For me everything was good
Location: Great location near of good restaurants
My experience, I can't wait until I get back to this hotel! My first surprise, I get an upgrade to a Suite that was a big plus.

Nice Hotel, but that is about all :(

Pros: Nice Looking.
Cons: Service, and also they would charge more when you would order a meal.
Location: lots to do near by.
Always Knocking o my door even though I had my do not disturb sign, security embarrassed me in front of family (2 teen age kids) 10 minutes after I had told him that they were helping me because I was Not feeling well and they they would leave right after, he knocked on my door not EVEN 10 MINUTES PASSED and said they could not be there, just the 2 people assigned to the Room, I would never go there ever again.
