At the front desk, Diego and Wendy were helpful. So was the bellhop. However, when I checked in, the staff at the time didn't know I had VIP status. Didn't even bother to ask. So, I got no benefits. Something wrong with Expedia for sure.
The property is centrally located but the area around it smells bad and it reminded me of Manhattan in the mornings with the garbage smells. The Uber drivers had difficulty getting near the hotel because of how the roads are managed by the police closures.
There is a small coffee machine in the room, but they provide only one pod per day for two people. Same with water. Provide only one small bottle of water for two people. Pretty stupid policy and it is enforced by the staff.
The breakfast was very good but the area is understaffed. So, you cannot get hot coffee or other things that you need when you need them. The food during lunch and dinners in the hotel's restaurant was marginal. For Mexico City with its culinary delights, what the restaurant offered was below average.
