“We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel, which is bursting with character and history. The owner was lovely and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant area is gorgeous and serves very good food, though it is on the pricier side. Breakfast was a highlight for the atmosphere alone, eating in that space genuinely felt like sitting in a castle, even if the actual food selection was a little limited. For future travellers, it is worth noting that the location is a bit……

“Had a beautiful dinner on the terrace with a view to remember! Arrived quite late, 20:45 and the hotel staff advised us to go straight to dinner before kitchen closed. Restaurant welcomed us despite hour. Fish was stellar.”

“We felt well cared for while spending two nights at La Bonne Auberge with our German Shepard. Emmanuel, the host, had a dog bed, water dish and disposable bags in the room on our arrival. The room was nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed and nice linens. The view from the terrace was spectacular, especially at night. Breakfast was lovely, freshly baked breads, house made yogurt and jams, fresh squeezed OJ, local honey, ham and cheeses and fresh fruit. We enjoyed dinner at the Auberge……

“Absolutely idyllic location, surrounded by greenery with a view down to the lake. Large room in the old part of the castle was clean and beautifully furnished with a large bathroom. The pool is situated in a peaceful part of the grounds and was very relaxed spot to stay with a book. The owners were very helpful and welcoming - we ordered chilled wine on the terrace and a lovely breakfast the next day. Highly recommend staying here.”
