The property was ok but was a little run down for us. We stayed at Eden Roc for a restaurant that wasn't opened and we had no idea. I wouldn't stay there again.

Nice hotel but overpriced for the level of service

I had a bad experience at checkin where valet was a disorganized mess. No one greeted me, held the door or helped with bags. I checked in at 7:30 pm and my room wasn't ready. I had to wait another 30 min which was completely unacceptable at tha hour. The people were all really nice though. The following day the pool staff were highly insistent about us needing bands to the point we felt like we were in a resort in a third world country where they are keeping the riffraff out. The beach staff were amazing though - they made up for the others. The next day we ordered room service and then called for pickup. No one ever came and the room stunk when we got back from the beach. We asked for removal service and went out for dinner. Nothing had been done when we came back so we just wheeled it into the hallway. We got a call from management after my first impression review was negative and they gave us late check out so that was nice. Getting the car at checkout was just as disastrous as checking in. If they removed the lines of parked fancy cars and used those lanes for clients with a single person directing flow, it would provide a much better first impression. Overall the beach staff were amazing but that was it. The place felt like 2 or 3 star service for 5 star pricing. Not likely to go back.

Nice/Clean Resort

Pros: Seeing and taking pictures with celebrities at the beach - The kids were pretty psyched about that!
Cons: "Heads up" RE: HUGE concert on the premises. Our kids couldn't use the pools. Pools were overcrowded, adults drinking, cussing, and smoking weed
Location: Thriller Boat Ride / Seaquarium / Miami Zoo
Hotel Staff were all very nice and accommodating. We felt that the Hotel had too many rules (ie. can't swim here, can't swim there, can't swim before this time, can't swim pass that time) and many hidden fees (ie. paying extra to "rent" things on the resort, like umbrellas and chairs .. UGH!). Out of the 4 nights we stayed there, the room got cleaned only once at a descent time while we were out and about - The other 3 days, I had to call Front Desk at ~3/4pm to get our room cleaned. The bathroom set up was way too weird, and both the bathroom sink and the tub were clogged - The water would take FOR-E-VER to drain - We called for an Engineer to come take a look and nothing really was done about it, other than getting 2 pairs of (free) slippers for the inconvenience (?). Overall, nice/clean hotel with a convenient Starbucks on the premises.

Very nice hotel.

Very nice hotel. I loved the easy access to the beach. The pool and beach staff were very accommodating. Nice gym. The entire hotel smelled wonderful. The room was clean with the best ocean view. The daily cleaning staff could do a better job, but overall a great stay. I would do it again.

Unexpected extra charges

They charge me 138$ for 15 minutes international call and 36$ for local calls 2 calls only Extra fees to enter the resorts And lots of taxes And misleading information from the staff

Overall we had a great experience. But our ocean-view room overlooked an ugly roof desk with the ocean far off in the distance if you strained to see it. I thought the staff was very attentive and accommodating, bringing extra towels, etc., really quickly. The only issue I had with the hotel is the way they nickel and dime you for everything. There is the resort fee; parking in the hotel is very expensive (and I'm used to NYC parking); they charge for an umbrella at the beach. But overall the hotel is beautiful, the room was comfortable, the staff was great, and I would recommend the hotel and stay there again myself.

Traveling on business, check-in seamless, room very comfortable and large. Housekeeping did not have my room on list to tidy room and were able get it done very quick once it was brought to their attention. My only unresolved issue is the hotel policy to charge their guests $25 for beach umbrellas. This will not instill brand loyalty.

Great weekend

Pros: Staff
Cons: Keep the outside bars/food areas open later. Turn down the lobby music, sometimes it was difficult to talk over it.
The staff was extremely accommodating. Initially, we had an ocean view room with a balcony reserved. Unfortunately, on the fourth floor, the air-conditioning units were between the room and the ocean. We called and asked for a higher room. Due to the hotel being full they moved us a nicer room in the Nobu hotel with a city view. Much better experience.
