Classy Hotel; One block to the beach!

Very nice hotel with friendly staff from the jump! I was able to check in @ 2pm which was pretty cool. Incidental fee is $100 a nights so if you're penny pinching, save up for that in advanced!! But I got the money credited back to me on my check out day (depends on your bank) so I was pleased about that. The room is on the small side but it's REALLY nice and clean. Closet space isn't that roomy. It's more so a shirt closet, so if you want to hang up jackets and pants you'll have to fold them over to fit. The walk in see through shower isn't blocked off in another room so it isn't all that family appropriate, but very romantic with the rainfall shower head! The vanity area has great lighting and is equipped with a sewing and grooming kit. The bathroom is its own little section with a sliding door but isn't soundproof but still nice! The bed is super comfy; I slept like a baby! Love the power outlets right by the bed. Was able to charge my phone while being on it in bed. I booked the terrazzo room. I was slightly disappointed because I thought I'd have the canopy bed on the balcony but there were only a couple chairs and a table, which had leaves all over it. I ended up cleaning them off myself but wondered why it wasn't included in the housekeeping aspect. Not a big deal but I thought that was weird. Across the street from the beach. Comp towels and beach chairs and free pickup service for hotel guests! Would definitely stay again! Thanks for an amazing birthday!

Great location and very chic

Loved this hotel the minute I set foot into it. Beautifully redesigned and modern. Although the room was small it was well appointed and bright. My only issues were the lack of a closet for hanging clothes (only had a small closet that fit shirt length clothing) and the lack of a sheer curtain so that you had nice outside lighting without feeling exposed. The mattress was comfortable and the bedding and linens were high quality. I will definitely be back!!

Amazing hotel after hurricane irma .

The place was amazing after the hurricane the place was ready and staffed at 6pm on tuesday after the hurricane .

It was a very nice hotel, they had an Italian restaurant on the 1st floor and the food and drinks were delicious. I would definitely recommend this to a friend

In Miami days after Irma - lucked into finding the Gale. Top notch service, friendly professional staff and a great location. We will be back!

The hotel is ok, the room was disappointing

Pros: The staff was great and very helpful. The roof top pool was awesome. The Dolce Restarant downstairs is nice. The golf shuttle was excellent as amenity
Cons: Could have used 2 sets of towels. One of the phones in the room didn't work. The floor seemed to slope down a bit in the room, easy ot trip around.
Location: Go to the roof top pool as soon as you get there with a good book to relax and start things off right!
The carpet needed cleaning. It had foot prints like someone stepped in mud. I called to have it vacuumed, but that never happened. The double bed - room was very small. It was a handicapped bathroom which I said ok to at the recommendation of staff. We were only there one night because of the Irma Hurricane coming in a few days.

This was my first time visiting Miami and I was thoroughly impressed by the hotel. The location was a block away from Lincoln Rd, and couple blocks from the beach. The hotel did not have my room ready but they made sure it was available a little after 4pm. We left our bags at the hotel during that time and it was delivered to our room once we checked in to our rooms. The dining options were everywhere, a couple of recommendations in case you stay, Maxine's Diner, open 24 hours too, nice quick breakfast and $5.00 mimosas. Around the corner on Lincoln, Maya's Grill, an argentina steakhouse, I had the best skirt steak breakfast. Lastly, the best dinner option is on Washington, it's called Chalan by the Beach, it's a peruvian place, delicious food, better come prepared to eat, because they pile a lot on the plate. As I mentioned, great hotel, no complaints, friendly staff too.

REALLY NICE HOTEL, BUT...

Pros: The terrace.
Cons: They should figure out a way to have access to the bed from two sides and provide at least 1 small dresser.
The Gale is a nice hotel right on Collins Avenue one block from the beach. I'm not sure if all hotels have a check in hour of 4.00pm, but darn that's kind of late. My husband and I arrived around 130 at the premises and the staff was quite friendly. They offered to store our luggage until our room was ready; and if possible, they would call us before 4. We did get a call before 4. However, the room was not ready. One thing that I notice that all hotels do, because common sense is being replaced by technology - if the computers are down they can't tell you if the room is ready. How about asking housekeeping. They know which rooms have been cleaned after guest departures. Our room was very nice with a terrace, but the storage was limited. There was 1/2 a closet , no make that a 1/4 closet because I couldn't hang a dress and not have it fold at the bottom. Two very small drawers were available. My husband was gracious enough to live out of his suitcase. The hotel did provide a popup clothes rack after I complained of the storage space. Access to the bed was on one side because esthetics won over function to make the room look bigger. The bathroom was very spacious; but it failed to provide counter space for make up and toiletries. Yes, it was a nice hotel. My husband would stay there again.

Highly Impressed

The was the first time That I stayed at the Gale Hotel. I was really impressed with the hotel. The rooms was a nice size and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. I liked the security methods that were in place at the hotel (not being able to access the floors without a room keycard). The beach was only a block away. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I would def stay at this hotel again.

Mixed Feelings

Pros: Dolce Italian Restaurant and decor. The hotel itself is not bad except because of the service (non-service) we walked away with a bad taste.
Location: The location is great - close to the beach and on a busy main street so easy to walk around or catch cabs.
Stayed at the Kaskade King suite and we walked away with mixed feelings about this hotel. Multiple things were not working in the room. They knew but didn't change our room. Because we were so flabbergasted, they reluctantly waived the $24 resort fee. This is an issue only because when you have MANY hotels to choose from and you decide on one based on the description, it's crappy to know you could have picked better. The bed was not clean. There was hair and sand like particles everywhere. It was gross but we were heading to bed past midnight and didn't want to wait for two hours to get the bedding changed. It was gross, but thankfully we travel with sleeping liners. We just sucked it up. Still super gross. A beeping warning sound started going off around 7am which turned into a full blown alarm. When we called front desk to see what was going on, they said it was fine. This went on for over an hour so we called back to see if we should be evacuating - the next response was they didn't hear anything. The Kaskades is a separate building from the main hotel but what astounded us was that they should know alarms are going off in the main hotel. Literally held the phone out and said are you serious...no explanation, nothing. Pros - the decor is great in the main hotel and the Italian Restaurant DOLCE is 10/10 for service and staff. They salvaged this stay. The food is good and the staff is amazing so DO go if you're in the area (even if you're not at the hotel). Thumbs UP
