Not as good as it used to be

Location: Well located. Plenty of restaurants nearby and shops, as well as a CVS & Walgreens. Close to the beach.
The room was VERY noisy due do the hotel working on a new building next to our room. From 8 am til late afternoon we heard very loud construction sounds. The room felt old: the towel hangers, toilet paper hanger, and shower curtain were not fixed correctly and would fall on the floor if we were not careful. The jaccuzzi was dirty when we arrived (lots of sand and leaves and other things in it) but it was washed quickly (but not so well) when we told the staff. There were many stains on the curtains. The maid forgot to give us new shampoo two days in a row. The staff was polite and welcoming, but not always very helpful (they just said they were sorry about the noise but didn't do anything and didn't offer any compensation whasoever). We stayed at the Angler's last year and had a much better experience than this year. The staff used to make you feel at home, make you feel a privileged guest, and were very helpful, which wasn't the case this year. This is not a bad hotel, but we expected more in regard to the price, the reputation, and our past experience at the Angler's.

Pleasant stay in South Beach

Honestly was a perfect room. We booked the villa which was literally right next to the pool but still it provided some privacy. Our house keeper was so nice she even took care of us poolside. There is a free cocktail offered everyday at 5-6. The pool is perfect and the facility is a funky boutique hotel with unique features. Our room has the spiral staircase-resembled the loft style advertised. Kate our bartender was super nice on our first day as we arrived early and needed to wait. Awesome stay!

Great staff and hotel

Perfect for those that want to be away from from the crazy beach vibe but not far from everything. It felt like a hide away . The staff made my 35th birthday wonderful. They have happy hour everyday from 5-6pm. Free drinks. The staff makes sure you are having a great stay , from letting you know where to go, to getting you basic items you may have forgotten to pack.

Great stay

The entire two day stay was fantastic. Easy walking distance to everything; quiet enough to relax. Clean and elegant rooms. Afternoon wine and cocktails in the lobby is a nice touch. We'd definitely go back.

Great cold room and a Uber away from anything!

Simon the valet had great information of the area and did a wonderful job greeting me. Room was great could use a update on the tv/remotes

This is a wonderful Hotel which I would recommend for anybody to stay and I will definitely go back again and again. The hotel staff was one of the best that I've ever experienced.

spacious rooms, great staff

Pros: Great customer service, big rooms, clean.
Cons: The pool could be a little larger, there could be more closet or drawer space.
Location: Hotel is not near were most people shop and eat, it is walkable. South Pointe Pier is close by. Beach is 2 blocks.
we were told prior to our arrival that the room of our choice wouldn't be available. We were upset. But upon arrival we were upgraded to a better room. Thanks to the Kimpton staff. Our room was very spacious, quiet and next to the pool. When we called the front desk for help with various situations they would show up to our room in a matter of minutes. Hotel is 2 blocks from the beach. But most of the stores and places to eat and action is closer to Lincoln road but it is walkable. Friendly staff, Big room, beautiful atmosphere.

Beautiful boutique oasis in Art Deco area

Updated, unique rooms and gorgeous garden spaces for unwinding. Very attentive & professional staff that did all they could to make our stay extra special. Complimentary coffee bar and wine happy hour added to the relaxing atmosphere of this gem just 2 blocks from beach and Ocean Drive.

Hidden charges

Charged me $500 hold for my hotel upon check in after saying there was no charge ( $100 a night ) no where does it say on their website that there is a $100 a night deposit but the manager kept telling me it's clearly listed which it doesn't I have pics to prove ! $500 is a lot of money when your not aware of it ! Had a cancel a few things we had planned because of the " hidden charges " kinda ruins your experience
