Good location right on the beach

Check in was not a minute earlier than 3pm. Room was small, stains on the wall, ceiling had an old leak, bathroom was ok. We heard doors slamming all night and every time someone walked by talking. Elevators took a long time. Air did not stop running and room never reached below 71 despite being set lower. Pool area nice as well as backyard area and bar. Staff was friendly. Attempted to order food one night and was told the kitchen is closed for a large group. No fridge in the room. Nothing special here.

Hello there and thank you for sharing your honest feedback with us, and our future guests. We are terribly sorry that the time you spent with us wasn't the 5 star time that we work hard to provide! Our check in time is indeed at 15:00. If we have rooms that are ready and available, we will definitely allow guests to check in before 15:00. We have rooms of all sizes, it just depends on what the guest is looking for. Some want a more spacious room, others don't mind if they stay in a smaller space. I wish that it would have been brought to our attention, the ceiling, bathroom and A/C while you were in house. We would have sent a maintenance personnel to take a look at this right away. The speed of the elevator from a building built in the 1940’s is beyond our control. We are most definitely glad that you enjoyed the fun filled backyard area, the bar and our staff. The rooms aren't equipped with a fridge, but we can provide one to our guests on a first come first serve basis, for a fee. We hope that you would be willing to give us a second chance in the future!

This hotel was really close to the beach (5-6 min walk) although, it was very noisy at night. People slamming their doors and talking loud whatever time of the night, I barely got any sleep the 5 nights I was there. The tv went out a few times and didn't work for a while, the shower had no hot water the first 15 min you turned it on. I asked the bartender inside the hotel if she could make me a White Russian and she looked at me and said, "no? We don't do that" with a look on her face that she didn't even know what that was. One of the elevators broke down and it caused a back up with just the one working, so we asked one of the staff where the stairs were and he said stairs? I'm not too sure. The backyard of the hotel was actually very nice, with happy hour from 6-7. But I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Too noisy

Good Afternoon and thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We are located directly on the beach, and just blocks from all the hottest spots. I am sorry that you found the hotel to be a bit noisy. If we were aware that you were inconvenienced about this, we would have sent security up, or worked to move you to another room. Heavy rain caused the city electricity to fall out (happens all the time during rainy season) and caused the power to surge. When this happens the elevator goes into a safety mode, and needs to be reset which we did right away. The elevator was out for no more then 10 minutes. When the shower knob is turned to "hot" the water comes out "hot" almost immediate. Sometimes our guests have troubles understanding the knobs, and think that the hot water isn't working as the knob isn't turned correctly. Perhaps this is what happened to you, as we have not had any issues with the water heater at all. I am glad that you were able to enjoy the backyard and what it has to offer. The happy hour is a fun filled time, and a perfect time to mingle around and get to know your temporary neighbors. :)

The staff was friendly and helped whenever it was needed. Hotel was in walking distance from the beach which was great.

This is my second time staying at Marseilles. Perfect location, activities inside the hotel, ammenities. Close to anything, beach, restaurants, stores. Its always fun to stay here. Nothing like this hotel.

It was great. Room is tiny. Staff friendly. Lobby is ok. It's ocean front & that's what's most important to me

Great place on South Beach

Great experience. Location is perfect, close to restaurants and shopping plus right on the beach with a great pool and poolside bar. Staff was very attentive. They held onto our luggage before check-in and after check-out, so we could maximize our time in the area. Hotel is a little older, but that gave it unique character. Everything was very clean and in working condition. We loved it!

Nice pool and bartenders

No room service was a big shock... Should have reviewed that prior. However there was a lot of noise on the second floor by room 207 constant banging construction going on through the morning. Otherwise clean and nice abidance. I loved the Cabana we rented pricing was well. I Wish the staff was more helpful when I lost my phone at the hotel. Night desk person on Sunday, April 2nd wasn't trying to assist and told me to call for assistwell but how could I with no phone...smh

We did have an issue that we needed to tend to immediately, and we completely apologize for the inconvenience this caused you! I am glad that you were able to enjoy the cabana area. It's so nice back there, and always a good time! :) Our team is on top of the service that they provide our guests with, and always willing to assist when there is an issue. It shocks us to read that is not what you experienced when you lost your phone. I will make sure to bring this up in the following staff meeting! We hope that this wouldn't steer you away from staying with us the following time you are in town!
