Clean, well located, good beach access and pool. Slightly outdated rooms, though large.

General summary about my visit

Access to beach great Rooms little old but acceptable considering other options in south beach that are old buildings too Staff the girl cubana in the kitchen fantastic excellent customer service she attend us every day with a smile and knows about preferences we had(cofee,tea,etc) the hotel should consider she can be a front desk person she really has a customer service skills. The frontdesk girl is not really happy with her job and reflect that with the guests, is not bad service but needs to improve I have a problem the first night with the cleaness of my room and they change me of room was not the expected the problem with the cleaness of the first room but they solve it

Good location, friendly staff. The hotel is old

The location was great, the staff were all very nice and accommodating. The hotel is older and is a bit run down.

Pros: Location, decor makes me feel like Frank Sinatra is down the hall. Love the old Miami feel.
Cons: Tv in workout room
Location: Literally walking distance to Everything. Shops, restaurants, beach, and Lincoln Road
Love this quaint hotel. 2nd stay in a year. Great staff, clean, my favorite restaurant across the street.

Comfort is lacking but close to the beach

Pros: Close to the beach
First, we were placed in a room that had a pungent odor of cigarette smoke. It took the girl at the front desk an hour to find us a new room as she made us wait behind the customers that were still checking in. The second room that we got smelled fine but had no hot water in the shower. We were told by maintenance that they know this is a problem and there is nothing they could do. The man at the front desk reiterated their lack of a way to resolve the issue. Furthermore, my bathing suit was bleached by the hot tub without warning and when I notified the hotel staff they did not attempt to ameliorate the situation.

Burned by The Richmond...Literally

BEWARE! We received chemical burns In their outdoor hot tub and the hotel ataff was completely unresponsive. Spent New Year’s Eve weekend looking for an Emergency room, ointments and were unable to swim any more. TV in the room was small and standard def (not acceptable at the rates they were charging.

Cons: Coffee / tea in room OR open the kitchen before 7 am. Treating customers/visiters better
Location: Beach a block away. Bikes around the corner Lincoln mall nearby..........
First day as the weather was not good, I decided to have a wonderful "rest" in the jacuzzi. When I got back to my hotel room, my suit was bleached from black to a tan color. MY SKIN was so itchy........for days. The hotel was not apologetic. I was credited $ 50 off my stay, hardly worth it. Their kitchen does not open until 7 am; therefore, as an early riser, I had to get out of bed and go across the street to get a coffee. Ridiculous when on vacation. Many other things were disappointing

No coffee????

Cons: Coffee or tea makers in each room OR have the kitchen open before 7 am.................
Location: Beach, Lincoln street "mall".....Fun to walk through if the weather is too cold to be on the beach. I used Citibike every day which is nearby
Being an early riser, it's nice to be able to either get coffee at a restaurant in the hotel (This one's kitchen was not open until 7 am) OR Have a little coffee maker in each room. I was told by a staff member that the owners are TOO CHEAP to do this. WOW! This is not a "cheap" or "inexpensive" hotel. Of course, it's all relative..... Also, my bathing suit AND skin got bleached from TOO MUCH bleach put in the Jacuzzi..........NO APOLOGY.........WOW! Did get a $ 50 credit. With my skin itching for a few days, HARDLY WORTH IT! Only certain rooms had little refrigerators........... Have never complained about a hotel before, but other than a few LOVELY staff people, would not stay here again. It is close to the beach............ (1 block)...........That's the only real positive.
