Nice hotel close to the beach and ocean drive

The name got my attention....but!!!!

This was my first visit to Miami for my 40th b-day. The overall stay was nice, except the $33 fees which should be eliminated or lowered. We did not use any of the beach items, but got charged $150 after our stay....and they added taxes to it....what a rip off guys. The drinks at the bar are over priced and not good (no alcohol) but I guess that's to be expected down there.

Royal Palm Anniversary

Stayed at the Palm for a 3 year anniversary celebration. Great view of South beach from our balcony. Poolside experience is awesome. I definitely recommend the all inclusive massage package. When we initially got to our room there was an issue with our door key not working. Once notified, management had the issue taken care of. Accommodating and friendly staff. Would recommend to a friend.

Good hotel, showing signs of age

Hotel is nice, showing signs of aging. Staff are friendly. Resort fee is automatically charged whether you use the beach equipment or not. One thing I did not like was that it did not include beach umbrella, that an additional $20. Other hotels been at, resort fee was optional.

Dav, thank you for your comments. The beach operations including the chairs and umbrellas are a 3rd party, permitted by the city. We do not staff or operate that operation. We were able to negotiate and pay for the chairs through the Resort Fee but umbrellas were not part of the deal. Awesome hotel and staff. The hotel was clean inside and out. The pools were amazing, loved every bit!

Really close to the beach and alot of restaurants!

The hotel is nice and in a great area. The main issue I had was the food. It's was really blah and took such a long time to get to us. Another issue was the beach attendent trying to hustle us to pay $80 bucks for a cabana and then turn around and charge someone else $65.

Overpriced and disappointing

Cons: Be more customer focused toward older family groups
Stayed one night and was subjected to loud noise to 4.00am. The hotel guests were mainly young party going people and not families. The most disappointing thing was that after Complaining to staff at the time and later when checking out, little or no concern was given to our experience at this hotel. The price this hotel is charging for what they term a 'deluxe' room is criminal, and I can categorically state I will never darken their door again.

JD, I am extremely disappointing to read your review. Noise and cleanliness are top the negatives for guest satisfaction. We train or staff and leaders constantly to resolve all issues in a timely manner, and for the items that cannot resolve, to have the proper empathetic response. You would never darken our door. Slightly Disappointing

Cons: Attention to details such as cleanliness and working order of room components
I've stayed at this property several times over the last few years and it seems every time I come I'm disappointed. Understanding that this property is often very busy I was overall not pleased with the condition of my room. To list a few issues; my sink was clogged up my entire stay, it took me calling 3 separate times (in a 8 hours period) to get toothpaste, 2 separate times for a menu for hotel room service and my room was not well cleaned each day of my stay. The floors were tremendously dirty, my A/C only would blow are at 63 degrees no matter what setting I chose. I'm saddened by my experience because me and my family have enjoyed this hotel in the past. My group had a total of 3 rooms for a Thursday to Monday stay and none of use were as impressed as we had been in the past. Not sure what's going on but I'm not sure we will do another family vacation at this location.

Great hotel, amazing location!

Pros: Location to the beach & the outdoor spaces
Cons: the pool & beach closing time is 6pm and that was too early. It was too hot to go to beach any earlier than 4pm. No chair or umbrella after 6 - crazy!
Location: Great location! everything was completely either down the street or around the corner for the most part!
Great staff, they were friendly & helpful rather we asked a question about day activates or the nightlife on the strip. Both Bartenders were very sociable and fun, yet still professional. The customer service was great overall.
