The rooms are a little rundown at this point but reasonable. Food quality at the pool is very basic. Restaurants are better. The staff and the servers makes the place a great experience. Very polite, helpful and accommodating. We enjoy the time, convenience and we’d go back

Air conditioning in room was terrible. It took multiple questions to front staff to understand the rules of the hotel, when beach/pool opened, etc. limited amount of beach chairs available. Wish there was information for guests left in rooms. Pool parties at Hyde were very loud if that’s not your thing and you want to mind your business at the other pool. Heard the party all night from 9th floor hotel room. Rooms were small but I guess ok for the price. Food at hotel was excellent but very expensive.

Great place to stay to walk the boardwalk, to the beach and food! You get chairs at the beach along with food and drinks! Rooms are very small but we knew that! The bed was very comfortable we had a great time! Hotel has an odd smell.

I loved the SLS and will definitely be back! They have a great pool and restaurant. A short walk from the hotel to the beach area where there are lounge chairs and amazing service. That’s is all I wanted a little sun and relaxation and someone to bring me drinks and some lunch. Rooms are a bit small but the bed is very comfortable. Bathrooms could use a bit of a r ovation but loved the mirrors on the ceiling. E wry staff member I came in contact with was pleasant and helpful!! SLS is my new fav Miami Beach Hotel!

Everything about this place was terrible. The building is very rundown, doesn’t feel safe and I was concerned at night since there a lot of noises including few bangs on my door which didn’t make me feel safe. The staff response was very poor at all times. I even tried to cancel since arriving and no answer was ever received. There are a tons of up charges too that were not properly share to start with, so be aware that you’ll be expected to pay more once there. Very much the worst hotel I have ever stayed at

I've come to Miami for many years and have stayed at the SLS a few times. The SLS is a very trendy and centrally located. It's a boutique hotel and has all of the charms of a bye gone era, while having been updated and maintained to modern standards. Staff is friendly. Restaurants are tops (although I miss Bazaar, which has been replaced recently by another amazing restaurant). Pool area is very relaxed (I do wish there was a hot tub though). The Hyde Club beach parties are for a younger crowd (my wife and I are in our early 40s and were the oldest ones there -- glad admission is free for hotel guests). There was one hiccup during our stay, which I didn't reduce the ratings for as it wasn't in the hotel's control -- a bomb threat was received by the hotel around midnight on Friday night and the hotel was evacuated for about 3 hours. Hopefully this is not a common occurrence.

The check in was far from being smooth: they gave me a room that when I arrived was under repair. The person never left my room and they took 1 hour to give me a new one. The food at the pool area and the drinks at the bar is terrible. Price for the money in Miami there are much better places. Good location if interested in Lincoln Road.

I went and stayed at the SLS sobe for a moms getaway with 2 friends and had a terrible experience. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel was not up to par. The rooms were incredibly small and outdated, giving off a feeling of claustrophobia. The overall condition of the hotel was disappointing, with worn-out furniture and a general lack of maintenance. To make matters worse, there was a BOMB THREAT (apparently this wasn't their first rodeo with that and it had occurred 1 or 2 other times) during my stay, which was an extremely distressing situation. The hotel staff did not handle the situation well, failing to provide clear communication or reassurance to the guests. It was a chaotic and unsettling experience that left me feeling unsafe and anxious.the lobby bathroom and stair case on each floor were very unsettling. It was evident that the hotel did not prioritize the safety of their guests. The most frustrating part of my experience was the unhelpful and robotic attitude of the staff. First when I requested a better room when I first arrived and then when I called the hotel's customer service to request a full refund and allowing me to cancel entire stay due to the numerous issues I encountered, the representative I spoke to was unresponsive and seemed to be reading from a script. She showed no empathy or understanding of my situation, which only added to my frustration. Thankfully after hours and help from Expedia I was able to leave and cancel early.

The staff was very accommodating. The room was very nicely decorated with lots of personal touches. I enjoyed the pool, it was clean, comfy and there was good muaic. The walk to the beach was very short, directly behind the hotel and they had complimentary chairs and umbrellas. I would stay here again!

I was attracted to the photos of the rooms online. When I got to my room I was shocked at how small it was. There are no closets so your clothing is on display and I like a neat room. The room itself was like being in a sauna. The thermostat only goes to 67 and there’s no way this room was ever at 67. I called the desk several times and had maintenance come and change the filter. He said it was filthy. He even suggested cleaning around the filter since he said it was full of dust. Well all of that and it did not help. Our room was hot the entire stay. Strangely the AC would kick on only when we were in the room leaving us wondering if there was a sensor in the room that activates the AC when someone is in the room. We barely slept because of the heat. The blinds were broken..the shower took ten minutes to heat up and it had no door so there was always water on the floor. The pool was nice except poor upkeep with rust stains on the floor of it. The best part of the hotel was the beach and the lobby was cool. Otherwise I do not recommend booking here. We wanted to try something different but we will stick with our favorites.. the Fontainbleau and the Loewes tho a bit more expensive. We were totally underwhelmed with SLS and extremely disappointed in the quality. Sorry!
