Horrible Disaster

I was there to celebrate all week long for my birthday. The hotel is under construction and looks terrible, which we were not told about prior to booking even after multiple phone calls to the property prior to arrival. The pictures shown on the website are NOT anything like it looks. The first room the shower door handle was broken, & the other sliding door was missing. Maintenance was sent to fix the door, but when asked how we are to operate without a shower door we were told “I’m not sure”! We moved rooms,which there were limited available with a balcony that actually functioned. We had to settle for a room with construction ropes coming across the balcony obstructing the ocean view. After settling into this new madness, discovered the cable did not work in ANY of the bedrooms, nor the living rooms. Nothing was done about it! Final straw was ROACHES! Multiple roaches crawling around the room and even in the bedrooms! THIS PLACE IS GROSS!

Hotel is under construction and is a disaster. Some day it will be nice again. Too many things that don't work. Just not in working condition

Never Again

Pizza box found in refrigerator with half eaten slices of pizza. Had to pay a resort fee for no reason. Just a room to sleep what resort.

There's a problem with every room

My family spent about a week at this hotel and I would not recommend it because it is very likely you will be spending a lot of time fixing problems. The hotel location is nice. This was our second stay at this hotel that has access to the beach. The suites are spacious and right on the ocean. That's about the only positive thing I can say. When we checked in, the suit living room smelled like smoke and the shower didn't work. We called the front desk for help, they agreed to send someone in, and nobody came. We thought about switching rooms but by the next day our stuff was all over, so we just used the 2nd bathroom with a working shower. Our toddler tried to nap with ongoing construction noise. Talk about a relaxing vacation! We also learned that one of the pools was under construction - bummer and false advertising! We noticed the fridge was leaking, and by the fifth day, there was a major water break in the kitchen. The water was pouring from under the sink but our water was not on. Worst part: I'm calling front desk or housekeeping and nobody is answering. I threw all the towels and blankets onto the kitchen floor, but it did still leak on the carpet because it took the hotel staff a while to come to our room! My husband had to personally go downstairs and track someone down. What a nightmare. Now we HAD to switch rooms, we were told. The second suite was smaller and not as good for our child (not carpeted, etc). We made the best of our vacation by going to the beach.

Hotel under renovation

Hotel under renovation I wasn't aware & when I checked in I was told no balcony rooms. Credit to the staff member who helped find me a room with a balcony.

Horrible place. Should not be operating

Under construction. Beds are falling apart. Wiggly. Very dirty. Had to book another hotel.

Under renovation . Worn out , door keys did not work , we had to take another suite where toilet keep flashing every few min with a loud sound .

The hotel was under renovation we couldn't go on the balcony asked to get another room he was rude and said no when it was clearly other rooms available. The lock got stuck we stood outside the room for 10 minutes before maintenance came they had to manually open it and fix the door this happen on thr first day. And when i was stand at the door i called over the phone the reception put me on hold for 5 minutes then hung up on my so for me issa jell no o will not stay here false advertising period.

Overnight for cruise

Hotel is still in the process of renovation, felt like a very old hotel, musty and in definite need of upgrades.

Hotel front desk staff

We arrived early but we're not able to check in, we were able to check our bags and begin our vacation. When we checked in many things in the room didn't work, including light switches, all 3 TVs. We also didn't have items for cooking, etc. The front desk staff was horrible, he blamed his company for leaving him in these conditions, he refused to contact a manager and never gave us a remedy for our concerns other wait for the next day. He was rude and arrogant and despite staying there 3 previous times I will never return. The manager did provide us with a updated room the next evening but it really created a huge negative experience. I will stay at Fountainbue when I travel to Miami again.
