Outstanding location, average facility.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. An older hotel remodeled to be fairly modern. Stayed in the King terrace suite. Significantly more $$ than standard room. Terrace furniture was aged and damaged, tub/shower was mechanically altered to shower only. A/C worked, but not well. Restaurant food is very good. Try the creivche. Breakfast also very good. If you're a Dexter fan, this hotel was featured in the show.

The location was perfect and the staff was excellent! When we come back to Miami we will stay at the Penguin again for sure! Loooved it!

Had 2 rooms. Rooms were small but ok. Rooms were clean, but 1 room had a musty smell. It was the week after the hurricane went through, so maybe the room had gotten wet. Overall the stay was good. The drinks were good and the food was good. Would stay there again.

Very outdated room. Unexpected fees that were not made clearer on Expedia Would not recommend

Not saying is bas but I won't come back Unfortunately. The condition. Of the room was not the best, the walls are kinda tearing down in the bottom. The sheets had a weird smell. Other than that the beach was amazing!

Close to beach, breakfast was great

Early check in. Received a room that was in the back by alley. Hotel staff found room for us that was better Would Stay again Reasonable price for late booking

Close to the beach.

At the time I booked the room I didn't realize until I got there that they had given me a room that was probably converted from a storage room to a room next to the kitchen. Very uncomfortable to hear the noises from the kitchen and staff.

everything about this hotel is great.

Pros: everything. location, staff, room, food.
Cons: nothing.
Location: it's located right in the middle of South beach one block from the ocean. perfect.
This hotel is a gem. an amazing experience. The room was great, breakfast was amazing. Complimentary drinks amazing.

Once you arrive get ready to pay a $250 deductible it's in the fine print so don't miss it. The hotel room was really clean but the manager was very sarcastic when I asked to speak to him because I was unaware I would have to pay a deposit. I was only informed about the reservation fee I would have to cover upon arrival. Other than that the AC pumps great and the bathroom is really nice & clean. No microwave and false advertisement because there is no access to the roof top unless you live on the top floor. Nice hotel and servers. Free cocktails, beach towels access & bottled water during your stay. wifi sucks!

Lovely Art Deco hotel in perfect location

We loved that the hotel is comparably small with a very relaxed vibe... lovely breakfast included and great choices to add at extra charge. The rooms were nice and also super quiet at night. Very close access to the beautiful beach! I will be back in September for a long weekend!
