Great South Beach Hotel, but...
Posted Feb 18, 2017
I had a good experience at the Beacon. I stayed 2/17/17, the roomwas clean, staff was friendly and decor was everything you'd want from an Art Deco South Beach hotel. However, there was ACTIVE construction the whole day I was there from 7am onward. My 3rd story window overlooked it, so I was eye level with the workers on the roof next door, maybe 20ft away. And it was much too loud to sleep in past 7am. Also, oddly, the bath towels were full of cottony lint that stuck to everything I own, my beard and my hair. I'm still pulling it off my clothes
-close to parking garage
-beach chairs and towels included
-as of 2/2/17 in a construction zone
-restaurant downstairs is overpriced and bad. Though there are many good places to eat nearby.
Overall, I'd stay there again when the construction next door is over.

It's great to hear that your overall experience was great and that you enjoyed the friendliness of our staff, decor, and cleanliness of our property. We want you to know that we understand your dissatisfaction for the construction next door. We will be sure to follow up with city officials on how early the work started. We do apologize and promise to do our best to regulate this very new situation.
