We have stayed at the Crest several times and have enjoyed it. The location is excellent. It is two blocks from the beach, and it's right in the thick of things regarding locations to shopping, food, and fun. The hotel is under new ownership, so there was a slight change. However, we still enjoyed our time and we will stay again.

The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming 😊. We searched Expedia for a hotel that included parking, however the crest only has parking “available”. Valet parking is $47 or 1-1/2 blocks away a parking lot is available at $50 for 24 hours. It does not include parking. Also, Please be advised that if you book on Expedia you will be charged an extra $34.20 at checkin for a resort fee.

The property was clean and location was good but the power was out in main area and tv didn’t work for 2 days of our three days stay. Called the desk first day and they said it would be on by morning. In morning they told me Maintanence would have it on right away. Never happened. We had large suite room with separate tv and one in bedroom area. When I told them it was an issue the front desk told me that Tv isn’t an amenity and they wouldn’t do anything about it. I asked them for a refund of just the resort fee portion and they declined. Basically I cared that I had a room with two tvs that didn’t work and they could care less and treated me like an inconvenience for bringing it up to them. They weren’t awful but they could basically care less.

There was mold on the walls in the hallway. The electricity wasn’t working so my handi cap mom had to walk up the steps to the second floor and vice Versa when we wanted to sightsee. The room wasn’t that clean as well.

I absolutely loved this venue it was walkable for sightseeing tourist stuff not too far from the beach walkable to the beach it was just an absolute wonderful treat

Worse bed I’ve ever “slept” in. Only outside seating area is at the pool. Lobby very dark and dingy. Staff was average. Cleanliness was average. Location was great, of course. Price was fair. Great place to stay if everywhere else on or near south beach is booked or you’re poor.

We arrived very early for check in as we had just got off a cruise ship. The front desk staff were so kind. They tried to find us a room, but were unsuccessful. They offered to hold our luggage while we wait. This worked out well. We went for a coffee and a bite to eat and by the time we were done there was a room ready for us. This hotel is well situated for dining and shopping just steps away. Lovely pool area outside.

Very basic, but a good price for South Beach. Close to everything. Beds not good, but staff was pleasant and the hotel was clean. The hotel is older and a bit beat up, but was fine for one night.

Our flight was cancelled and we were not going to be able to fly to Florida until after three days. The hotel refused to reimburse us for our stay. I do not recommend this hotel, because they were not willing to work with us. Terrible customer service.

I choose this hotel as my go to when I travel to Miami and it never disappoints. The location is extremely convenient for anywhere I want to go. Service by hotel staff is also quick, and professional. Can’t wait to Book here again.

Pros: Good value for Miami. Quite and good location. Good size rooms, wonderful staff, beach towels and beach chairs included, working desk in the room. Cons: No coffee at the hotel, no fridge or microwave, no water fountain, bed mattress was worn.

Staff was very nice, but the public areas at the hotel are not very well maintained. The room is okay, television is so far from the bed. The bathroom was not so very nice. They painted the bathtub/shower which is all flecking off. Although I wouldn't stay here for leisure, it was fine for an overnight work stay. Don't park across the street ($60 overnight), the front desk agent advised there is $20 garage parking up the street.

Due to a 10 hour flight delay we did not arrive until 0630 the day we were to check out. We appreciated the fact that they held the room. It was dark when our taxi arrived and we could not see the hotel. No lit up sign. We tried to call but no one answered. We finally went to the door where the hotel was and it was locked. Luckily for us one of the guests was sitting on the steps smoking. She let us in with her room key and alerted the front desk employee (who was also outside) that he had guests. He was efficient and we quickly headed to the microscopic elevator and went to the 3rd floor. The web site showed a very nice “art deco” hotel. Ours had ancient paint, fixtures and furnishings. We had a black ceiling painted with pink and white cranes. Our bathroom walls and floor were painted forest green. Our sink faucet was a golden swan or crane. The paint bubbled up on our door and was chipping off in places. I laughed so hard that I am sure my endorphins went off the chart. The beds squeeked when you got in or turned over. The room was clean. I was so exhausted that I slept pretty good for the 2 hours before we headed to our ship. I give kudos to whomever designed the website. They are experts at making something look good. For the price paid I was truly disappointed, but grateful for a bed.

They keep the front, restaurant and main entrance looking very nice. Now the rooms are very outdated and have that old funky smell even though they clean very good it still lingers.LOL. But overall for the price and 3 day stay I would recommend.

I was worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews, but it was fine! Our room was small, bathroom was older and we didn’t have a view, but we didn’t come to South Beach to stay in our room! The location is amazing if you are going to a show at the Fillmore - it’s right around the corner. Lincoln Rd shopping is right around the other corner. Some of the reviews complained about not being able to get in touch with the front desk, but I called to confirm my stay earlier in the day and was immediately connected. The front desk was amazing and so helpful. Even the housekeeping was great and super attentive. I liked the old feel of the hotel and was kind of glad we didn’t have a view or many luxories because it stopped me from procrastinating and got me out and about quicker to enjoy super fun South Beach!

The location was perfect. Close to the beach, shops and restaurants! The hotel was nice, good housekeeping!! The king bed was comfortable and the pillows and linens in great condition. The lobby is accessible through the middle of the onsite restaurant, this was slightly confusing. Front desk staff sleeping at desk upon checkout (5am). We woke him up but he just said to leave the keys on the desk.

Location is good, close to Ocean Drive as well as to convention center/downtown area. Plenty of dining options on Michigan ave or Collins. Conveniently priced hotel. The best part is by far the nice and hardworking staff who really try their best to help you with anything you need.

Was great for an overnight layover in preparation for a cruise vacation. Was just a little surprised at the $30 cleaning fee that was added when I checked in. Don't remember any mention of that when I booked online. Otherwise my stay was very acceptable.
