Your wife is 70

Nothing wrong with having a 70 y.o wife. She can be beautiful, dress most fashionable, and smell good. But she is still 70. That's the Delano. Just old and outdated

Fabulous hotel in a prime spot in South Beach!

Pros: The location, the ambiance, the music, the food, the drinks, the beach, the personnel, the room decor . . . everything!
Cons: The price
Location: Location is perfect. Easy walk to Lincoln Road with restaurants and shopping, to Ocean Drive and all the action there, and right on the beach!
This was our second stay at the beautiful Delano hotel. This hotel truly is our favorite place to stay in Miami. The entire hotel is absolutely beautiful with special touches everywhere. The scent in the lobby is wonderful. The music they play everywhere throughout the property is fabulous. Such a great vibe! The service by everyone from the front desk staff, to the servers around the pool, bartenders, beach staff, housekeeping is impecable. If you are looking for a first class place to stay in the perfect spot in Miami Beach, then the Delano is it!

Elegant hotel on the beach

Beautiful hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Great location on the beach and walkable to town. Great nearby restaurants and night life.

prices are super high!

I have travelled to upscale hotels my whole life and have been to delano before for drinks and dinner, however this was my first time actually staying with them. There is NO PrICE LIST at the beach and they charge you on the spot ( three coffees 30 dollars) , then when I asked for the price list they appoligized saying that it's their fault and no need to pay at all. The next day I was having a Cesar salad at their pool restaurant when they charged two salads 71 dollars after which I showed them that the check doesn't match the price from the menu, after which they apologized again and again and again. The rooms aren't very well take care of, even though rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, the cleanliness could be much much better. Overall experience, average...

I am quite surprised about absence of the menu at the beach. Guests misleading is surely unacceptable and unfair. Your comment was passed to my manager at the beach to have a better control of employees' actions. Classic Miami Hotel

Wow! What a beautiful entrance this hotel makes. You feel spoilt from the moment you walk into the luxurious reception area. I met 2 girlfriends here for a 4 night stay and we were promptly checked in. The pool area and bar are beautiful and a pleasure to spend time in - if you can get a pool chair, on 2 days out of the 4 we could not get a chair as it was full. We were sent to the beach, only to be charged an extra $25 for an umbrella. You are charged an extra $35 per day for the use of pool chairs, towels etc, which if you cannot get a chair is quite frustrating. The location is fantastic being right on the beach and also close to the action. I stayed in a classic king room and it was spacious and well laid out. The bathroom is very small and only had a shower, but otherwise ok. It is noisy on the street side, so try to book a room on the ocean side. The room and hotel itself felt tired, it needs an upgrade. The bed covers were stained on the base and one pillowcase had holes in it. The bedside tables are showing a lot of wear and are heavily marked. The spa area is in great need of a makeover, for a luxurious hotel it is looking very aged. Unfortunately for our stay the restaurant was closed for changeover on 3 out of 4 days, which we found out about when we got there. Another very frustrating thing is that the water that comes out of the taps in the bathroom is warm, so if you want to have a glass of water you have to drink from the minibar which is $1o a bottle.

Indeed, a great number of people admire the design, and culture of the hotel. But, most of all we pride ourselves on the outstanding service the employees provide. Despite all compliments, I am sadden by the downturns during your stay. Please accept my sincere apologies about that. Our pool has always been one of the most popular spots. The chairs are available on first-come-first-served basis, and we do our very best to accommodate each and everyone. Also, I tend to agree that some parts of the hotel are in need of makeover. The management team takes detailed notes of the areas in need of improvements. In fact, several projects have already started, like in-room bedding "updates". We invite you visit us again and re-experience Delano all over again!

Having stayed here over a dozen times, this is one of my favorite hotels ever. It's the prefect South Beach boutique hotel. The staff and the service are never less than amazing.

Revive Her!

I love this hotel. I've stayed here before. I was sad to see how dated it has become, to the furniture and decor. No updates to reflect the feel and price. That being said the service was fantastic and the pool was amazing. New furniture and decor would be helpful to restore it to its former glory.

Friendly and polite staff. Clean rooms and excellent amenities. Beautiful pool and private beach area for hotel guests. Highly recommended.

Hotel needs TLC

I'm 36 years old and I remember staying at the Delano for my 21st bday and maybe 20x between then and my last stay 2 weeks ago. Well let me say 1st and foremost this hotel use to be my favorite hotel in all of SB, I have so many great memories here. I booked a room 2 weeks ago and let me tell you this stay absolutely disgusted me. 1st my room was filthy, I had a used plastic spoon on my nightstand and a huge pile of woman's hair stuck to the wall in my shower! Yuck!....anyways I went to the front desk and told the clerk and she just looked at me like I shouldn't be complaining or something! No customer service skills whatsoever! And said housekeeping will come reclean my room (they never did,they came and cleaned my room the next day so I purposely left the hair in the shower and the new cleaner still missed it!) anyways I was sitting at the bar inside by the pool table and the bartender had to block off this huge puddle of water that was leaking thru the ceiling and onto the floor infront for the bar. I told him about my experience and he said it's because the hotel just got sold and they fired everybody.The bartender outside by the pool was a nice guy, after telling him about my experience he gave me a coupe free drinks and told me to not give up on my Delano hotel I fell in love with on my 21st bday but to write a review and hopefully something changes, Anyways enough with the negative bs. Ps you have to try the watermelon cooler the bar at the pool sell they are amazing!

There are number of aesthetic improvements that are currently taking place. For instance, we are re-launching Bianca under a new brand: Leynia - Argentinian Steakhouse. The pool bar will be expanding as well. Therefore, I am quite disappointed by the bartender's comments. We would love for you to re-visit us in the near future, and enjoy our new image.
