nice hotel close to beach

Posted May 26, 2016
There are three swimming pools in the hotel. I like them very much. everything is good. But one restaurant in the hotel called Nuba? Maybe called Nuba. It is extremely expensive. It costs 7 dollar for a little bit wasabi. And 11 dollar for one small piece of salmon. The environment and the service are not that good. So it is very not worth.

Cute room close to be beach.

Posted May 5, 2016
Cute room close to the beach. Hotel shows obvious signs of wear and tear and some neglect. Carpet in the hotel needs replacing and the bathrooms need a good tile scrubbing. Although the hot water never really existed the entire time we were there so we took Luke warm showers.

No me gusto

Me alojaron en la parte del Hotel que no está renovada. Las personas del front desk no fueron amigables. Y se negaron a cambiarme la habitación.

The hotel overall was wonderful. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Check in and check out was easy and fast - they even checked us in early. The hotel itself is a bit older and while they have a new tower with newer rooms, some parts of the hotel are a bit more outdated than others. Newer tower, Nobu Restaurant and main pool are closer to 4 stars. However Adult pool, older tower and just general hotel was a solid 3 stars. Balconies could be a bit cleaner as well. But overall good choice.

Over Priced, But Very Nice

Posted Mar 31, 2016
Pros: The number of pool and proximity to the beach.
Cons: The prices inside the resort.
Location: Walk to Walgreen to stock up on supplies.
The Eden Roc is a very nice hotel, but it is way over priced. A chicken Cesar salad cost $27 and a cheeseburger, although very good, was $19. Not to mention the drink prices. And if the hotel was not under construction they would have charged us $19 a day for an umbrella on the beach. And the other draw back is that there are not too many places in walking distance for food and drink. We had to Uber everywhere.

No Room Available!

Posted Mar 24, 2016
Pros: The pools were nice.
Cons: Service. Building in the 20% gratuity to all bills makes the staff not car about what you want and when you want it. I had to chase down wait staff.
Location: Great location. Good restaurants.
I was guaranteed a room via my Expedia booking as well as a late check-in. I arrived at midnight with three children and was told not only was there no double queen available but there was no room available at all. After being told they would speak to their manager we were left waiting for over 20 minutes. No manager ever appeared and the level of concern by the front desk clerk was less than stellar. They finally said they were able to upgrade us to a loft suite with a kind bed and they would bring in a roll away bed (and acted like they were doing us a huge favor). We get to the room to find one king upstairs and they finally brought in a single bed for the downstairs. the downstairs was creepy and with tile floor with no furniture on the lower level. It was not appropriate for a family of 4. Needless to say all four of us spent the night in the king size bed. No sleep and quite a bit of money down the drain. They offered us four free brunch tickets for the next morning. The next morning I told the front desk staff we needed a two queen room as the accomodations we were given were not what we booked. We were then given a double queen room at the back of the hotel, near the elevator bank and the maid's closet over looking the roof. And hotel construction started promptly at 8:30 am. So much for righting a wrong. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. It did not get better from there.
