Over-priced given condition of hotel

Old hotel in need of updates. The room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. Area surrounding hotel was not nice as well.

bad place to stay

Bad place to stay and over priced. Advertise free breakfast. We call them snack items. Advertising parking available. It is by for $15.00 a day. They should pay you to stay here.

Will not recommend.

I had an issue with the TV working. On the night stand their is a pamphlet, the hotel works with a streaming service and you need to sign up in order to use it. I thought this may have been the reason the TV was not working. I called down to the from desk customer support and I asked the ladey do i need to sign up in order to use the TV? She had no idea what the service was and told me no theres nothing wrong with the TV it should be fine. I told her i was seeing the dreaded black and white pixels but she insisted there was nothing wrong with thw TV. She was no help at all and didnt even suggest sending someone up to fix it.

our room smelled of smoke although "a non smoking

Pros: itt was close to food and drug stores, the breakfast was adequate, the coffee was great
Cons: just clean up and police the rooms for smokers
Location: did not check these items out
the outlet in the bath room did not work, no hairdryer i said earlier the room smelled of smoke, stale odor i would recommend with reservations and a warning, to check and smell the room

Hallways were gloomy & creepy looking. Bed was squeeky & would sink in. Housekeeping once a week is horrifying. Never again. No bathrooms in lobby.

Horrible for so many reasons.

Got in from a late flight. They overbooked my room and told me I had to find a different hotel during the Miami Boat Show weekend. Yeah right. Fortunately, four unused pre-check rooms were available. Sink wouldn't drain. Room with kitchenette smells like bad McDonald's. Blow dryer nearly caught on fire. Took 30 minutes to send replacement. House keeping never cleaned the room the next day.

Staff not trained

I booked my stay with expedia. Went to a convention in downtown. I arrived at the hotel at 2:30am. The hotel was over sold and my prepaid reservation was cancelled by the hotel to accomadate other customers. I used to work in the hotel industry and understand a hotel, over sell in order to maximize their profits. However, what is very sad is the gact that the hotel staff is not trained to handle this kind of situations. "Your reservation was cancelled and there is nothing I can do" was the most I got from the front desk person. There was lack of proffesionalism and zero knowledge of how to react. I hope the hotel gets this feed back and actually improve their customer service when it comes to handling overselling. I can not recommend this hotel because I never stayed in it. All I can say is that they lack training and customer services in certain areas.
