Awesome hotel with great views and pools are amazing. Bit expensive and the tipping already included in every purchase is a little crazy as it gives the server no incentive to give you great service. But overall we have been coming here for years and it is a great place to relax.

This property is amazing! The only negative would be that it’s difficult going from beach to pool if you want a lounge chair. All loungers were no longer available by noon at the pool area.

Th we property is very nice. The pools and the beach were perfect. Good options for good at the resort. We were there with our two young daughters and it was also very nice and enjoyable for them as well.

I paid $1,560 for an upgrade. There were 3 of us in one room, 2 on the bed and 1 on the couch. Unfortunately, the couch was horrible and I couldn’t sleep on the couch. We had to get a rollaway bed. I don’t think it’s fair that I had to be inconvenienced and the hotel is only willing to refund me $500. They really just wanted to discount the resort fees, but then I got an extra $330. In addition, the last night I was there, the guests next door came in form partying at 4:30 in the AM and didn’t quiet down until 5:30. I didn’t sleep since 4:30.

I found the Fontainebleau to be snobby and pretentious. While the facilities and location are nice and therefore warrant a higher price, the restaurants are serving food that is just OK at premium price. They use this charade of an "upscale experience" to charge double what the food is actually worth. The worst part of the Fontainebleau experience is that once you get there they try to squeeze more money out of their guests at every turn. Charging $10 for a bottle of water is just a gratuitous money grab and a slap in the face to customers that are already paying a premium price to stay there. Whomever came up with the idea of charging for water should find a new line of work. Also, the $50 per day resort fee is a sneaky move. Why don't you just be honest about what the daily rate is?

problems immediately at check in told that Expedia cancelled our reservation. We had no knowledge of this and the hotel was unsure why.the lovely front desk staff was able to find a room. first day and a half were very pleasant although limited dining options even with reservations. biggest problem occurred end of day two all the way through the remaining of our stay. For three days the hotel set up a conference we had no knowledge of previously that consistently included extremely loud drilling and hammering as well as sanding and sewing to set up areas around the pool and within the lobby of the hotel for global technical conference. Many areas of the hotel were blocked off including the lobby bar and several restaurants at dinner time which was highly inconvenient especially since we had no prior knowledge of this being an issue until we arrived. We came for relaxation/ experience the Fontainebleau but unfortunately were met with hostile staff treating us like peasants/ constantly acting as if we were doing something wrong. This was the biggest turn-off. We have no problem showing room card/wristbands but I do have a problem when security treats us like idiots at a place we pay so much to stay at and that has a previous reputation of being one of the best. lack of access to common areas & restaurants combined with entitled & rude security staff continued to treat us poorly and as if we didn't belong will have us not coming back/spending money here ever again.

We had to walk for 13min to get to the pool because they put us in the oldest building and said there was nothing available to move us to.Also, room wasn't cleaned good before us or when we were there. Windows were horribly dirty! Our TV was cutting in and out. Overall disappointed that they consider themselves a 5 star hotel.

I am a fan of the Fontainebleau and have stayed here many times. My experience during this visit was very strange. The function of our room was fantastic with a great shower and bath tub and true ocean views. Upon arrival, the front desk staff offered us an upgrade. I handed them my credit card as I was ready, willing, and able to take the upgrade. Moments later, the staff member told me the upgrade was no longer available at the price of one twenty per night and was now at four eighty per night. This felt like a deceptive bait and switch. The hotel is understaffed with inadequate space and capacity for the guest count. Expect long wait times for pool chairs and service at any of the bars, as well as long lines at check-in. The strangest part of the trip was when Jasmine, the manager on duty, called my room at 10:30PM at night, interrupting my slumber, to accost me regarding an initial Expedia review. While she did offer a credit for the resort fee, he demeanor landed as combative and defensive rather than solution-based and guest-focused. Under no circumstance is it appropriate to call a guest room unless it’s an emergency. Very weird and truly unforgettable. I will likely be back because I love the location and amenities. I just think what Jasmine did was very odd.

Beds were very uncomfortable. constnt bag check at the pools ruins entire experience. security checking your room key even though you wear a wristband( so annoying). room floor not clean (we asked for vacuum cleaning but had to do 2 to 3 calls to front desk to get the floor done). had constant smoke due to neighbors smoking pot or cigarettes even though we asked for non smokibg room its never guaranteed your neighbors are not smokers which neans you can not leave your balcony door open nor stay at balcony (total waste upgrading room tto a room with balcony)

La Cota restaurant staff and mgt. created an issue and refused to correct. I now have to take my issue to the Department of State to investigate and resolve. Back to the Ritz Carlton for me.
