I have stayed at the Golden Strand about 5-6 times. Always loved the place, definitely not a 5 star hotel but always clean and pleasent. I have not been there since 2013 about, the room was so run down, mattress was gross and ripped, shower had no pressure whatsoever and you couldn't even control the water temperature. Sliding doors to balcony were extremely difficult to open, pool and beach accommodations were just ok ( workers in charge of cushions and umbrellas were not nice) overall disappoint and should prob call my Amex to get my money back

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is disappointing to hear that the room was not up to the standards that we have set for ourselves. I wish you would have sent a message through real-time feedback expedia or notified the front desk of these issues while you were staying at the resort. I could have changed your mattress to a brand new one, and the maintenance issues would have been fixed. We will work hard to ensure that errors such as this do not occur in the future.
