Definitely need renovation immed.

Hotel is too old with dirty pool. Bath and beach towels are wash out with holes. Everywhere is old including bathroom. Too far to walk to eat. Not worth to pay $350.00 for such bad hotel! Will never come back.

We thus hope that you would be happy to learn that we underwent a complete guest room renovation less than 2 years ago in December of 2015. It has, furthermore, been to our regret to learn that you did not enjoy our beachfront location. We wish to take advantage of the opportunity and advise you that there is a Free Miami Beach Trolley, which runs from 44th Street down to Lincoln Road Mall and is a great mean of transportation in the area at no cost. With this being said, we would very much like to welcome you back at Grand Beach Hotel and should you feel you could give us a second opportunity we would like for you to try another type of suite to restore your faith in the Grand Beach Hotel.

Loved this hotel. Nice big room with gorgeous views off balcony. Hotel restaurant was fabulous.

Fantastic hotel for any traveler to Miami

Great hotel right on the beach. 3 pools. High end and immaculate lobby. Great sit down and casual dining in-site. Very nice private beach and pool deck on 7th floor with Miami skyline view. For those with kids, nice kids toys on beach and in pool area. Easy access to South Beach via free shuttle along Collins that picks up and drops off in front of hotel. This was our second stay and we will be back.

Nice hotel on Miami Beach

Pros: Good location, very comfortable room and beds, and the staff. Also many international guests made things interesting as well.
Cons: Some problems with the plumbing, some uneven tiles in the pool area were a trip hazard, breakfast in the hotel restaurant is expensive
Location: The boardwalk, Fontainebleau hotel, south beach. Generally an Uber or taxi ride to most restaurants.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property which tells you something. Staff are very nice and attentive. Pool and beach areas are very nice. Great place to spend an afternoon. Also very close to the boardwalk that goes all the way into the Art Deco area of South Beach. The hotel and room decor is all very white!

OK Hotel on the Beach

Pros: Great views of the ocean and away from busy South Beach area.
Cons: Housekeeping should improve to clean the rooms regularly and consistently. Front desk staff should be responsive not hide in the back.
Location: This is on the 48th street which is away from the busy South Beach area. It's safe, quiet, and good for families.
This is a good hotel on the beach. The housekeeping department needs to improve. They didn't clean our room after they came once when we were getting ready, and told them to return in a bit. Had to call and insist on having our room cleaned around 4 PM on another day. The pool and beach area was busy and could not get chairs on some days. Breakfast and lobby cafe is good but pricey for what it is. Views were beautiful and location was great.

clean, pretty hotel, right on the beach

Pros: The two bathrooms! The balcony! Drinks on the beach! The clean, pretty decor. The palm trees & hammocks!
Cons: No kid-free zone, as had been advertised on the website. LOTS OF KIDS. EVERYWHERE. Probably great for families, not so much for kid-free couples.
Location: Be sure to tour the gorgeous lobbies in nearby hotels - Fountainebleau, Soho Beach Club, etc. Dinner at Bird & Bone. Free shuttle down to So Beach.
We really enjoyed the hotel room - simple, clean, so many windows and mirrors - it really enhanced the view of the sky and water. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, the grounds well-kept and pretty. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive. We primarily hung out on the beach (get there early for the front row seats, or get a seat at all), warmed up in the hot tub, and lounged on the balcony. (May I recommend upgrading to a beach-view room, if you have the option). Refrigerator in the room was very handy for left-overs, etc. Food was expensive, decent. Be prepared to pay the $25/day for all the things you want to use (internet, beach towels, coffee, etc.). And note that tips are included in most bills, even though there's another line to add a gratuity. The Sky Bar (pictured on the website) did not exist. Nor did the kid-free zone on the 7th floor pools. The pools were there, but also tons of kids. No outside bars were open past 6pm. Also note, there's smoking in the outside areas - around the pool (supposed to be only in 1 small area, but not well policed), and on the beach.

Hotel was a strong 4 star property. Room and public area well kept. I was their with two teenagers, very family friendly. Restaurant could have been better, poor menu selection. VIP benefits meant nothing, asked for an upgrade not complimentary and they told me to call Expedia, a bit rudely, still a good hotel.

Where are the towels

Cons: They need to leave four face towels in a room that is design to sleep three to four individuals.
What can I say about the Grand Beach Hotel other than it was the most relaxing experience ever. The staff was wonderful and even worked with me with an issue that was created due to false advertisement listed here on Expedia and the broken light switch that we encountered when we first got there. The only negative thing I have to say is that there was a lack of towels, face towels to be exact. Everyday we would have to call the front desk and house keeping to get a couple of face towels because house keeping never left face towels in our room. They would leave large drying towels but nothing else. Outside of that the stay was PERFECT. I will definitely be back and will definitely brush up on my Spanish also.
