This facility should be shut down and placed under new management. Day time staff had terrible attitudes and cleanliness is not a thought at this establishment. The management has some archaic rule that due to COVID they can't clean the bed sheets everyday, which doesn't make sense because a virus declared pandemic is even more reason to up cleaning measures at a hotel, excuse me, MOTEL. There were gnats constantly coming out of the drains in the bathroom and I had to kill a few roaches throughout my stay. The floors and furniture were dirty and I had to use Lysol wipes that I went and purchased out of my own pocket to have some sense of comfort. When inspecting the bed when I got there there was tons of clumped hair left on the sheets from the previous guest. The toilet was in disarray and had to be flushed multiple times for bodily waste to go down fully. There was no hot water during the second night. Also the elevator wasn't working and it seemed like it hasn't worked in a while and there were no plans to get it up and running anytime soon. The luggage storage smelled like straight urine. And the vending machines had extremely overpriced snacks and drinks. And the resort fees this place charges are a scam and they should make that more transparent prior to booking. Shout out to the night time staff they were very kind and helpful. I do not recommend staying here.

I wouldn’t stay there again. Not very clean and no toilet paper at room. They charged us an extra fee when we got to the hotel ($20 a day) even though we paid through Expedia. Staff and location was nice but that was about it!

It would have a been a quaint, no so glamorous- less than but doable experience, BUT the room was terribly dirty. Hair was on the follow omg with crumbs. The shower rod was rusted and the tub not cleaned. Eww! I can deal with not new but not clean, not okay. The walls and dirt were painted over instead of cleaned. Such a waste. It really could have been a vibe. We left immediately. Staff was nice though refunded parking fee but also like “byeeeee”. A whole refund felt in order. Did I mention hair and food EVERYWHERE? Shout out to the Cavalier for taking us in and being clean!

One of the two front desk workers was rude and lazy. Barely got off his phone to check me in. Elevator does not work. Our bathroom had not been cleaned. There was sand and hair in the bathtub. No towels were in our room upon check in and we had to go downstairs to ask for towels twice. I paid for this hotel in full with exception to a $40 destination fee only payable at the property. The guy checking us in ask for the $40 payment and took my card to ring it out. I was charged $45 dollars instead. I later realize they also charged a separate transaction of $246.30 that I did not authorize. Again, my hotel was paid for. Now I can not get through to the merchant.

They had no towels in the room no toilet paper . Charged me fake fees . Racist Spanish owned I’m bilingual and I would listen to Spanish guest get charged 100 security deposit when I was charged 400.00. They charged me 362.00 when I checked out a day early. I used my tshirt to dry off when I got out of the disgusting shower I want refunded. I’ve already contacted my attorney I take videos of my room everytime I leave. It looks like a Russian brothel

This property is older and not as posh as a lot of hotels in the area. It has fun and kitschy decorating. It is only one block from the beach and walking/bike path and just across the street from the canal. Parking is $30 (FYi a parking ticket is $36 or there is a parking garage across the street for $48) the parking area is challenging to get into and there is a high curb restricting access. They do not have wash cloths. Our room was clean, there is some general wear on the floors. The room had a small safe and a minifridge, but no microwave. We were supplied beach towels. Room was not serviced daily, so make sure you hang your towels.

You get what you pay for I guess. The notebook was a convenient place to stay with the trolley nearby, which could take you to all kinds of places for free, but there are NO amenities at all! (you can’t even get extra towels or trashcan liner.) They have some vending machines, but that is it. The paint on the walls and the 100 yr old door fixtures in the room was so thick, we couldn’t close the closet or bathroom doors and you could tell that the room was cleaned, but there was still stray hairs in the corners of the rooms. The pillows were FLAT and the bedding was from the 80’s. The worst part was there was a light outside of our window so bright that no matter how late it was at night it was difficult to sleep, because the windows have no blinds! This place is BARE BONES. Don’t take room #103 if you need a dark room to sleep!

This one night stay was the worst hotel experience I've had. Upon entering the hotel, based on the lobby, I thought this was going to be a fun, funky little place to stay. We would have faired better to sleep in the airport....the floor would have been more comfortable than the bed we had......that's saying a lot since the Miami airport is a hot mess! We had 1 towel for 2 people, we requested more and got one.....also requested washcloths and they said they would get some to us....never saw the washcloths. Customer service was definitely LACKING. The best parts of this hotel ... 1. The decor, Jim Morrison, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Bob Marley etc.... posters, covered the walls. 2. The outside entrance had a small area that we were able to sit at for 2-hours, with all our luggage, and enjoy a 6-pack, some Cheetos and lots of people watching. 3. It's close to plenty of restaurants and bars....if only we didn't have to drag our suitcases around as they had no place to store them for us while we waited and I would not trust them, based on their lack of customer service, to keep my property safe. PSA Stay AWAY it's too much money for a below par hotel.

This place was horrible. They had no wash clothes available. No microwave in the rooms. The elevator was broken. The picture in the room had a bullet hole. The water pressure based upon other rooms flushing the toilet. The toilet flush was horrible. The tv only did Spanish as language. The remote didn’t work for the tv. The side lamps didn’t work. Attitude from the staff about towels not being available. Floor was nasty. Everything out dated nothing like the pictures. Not able to control the temperature in the rooms. We was freezing every night. I would love a refund because everything was an inconvenience.

Based on the description I did not expect many amenities. But the cleanliness was unacceptable. Saw roaches when the front desk showed me to the ice machine, the linens were soiled, and it did not look like the bathroom had been cleaned. I would not recommend this property.

TV never worked, I went to tell front desk and the guy said he was too busy handling other situations that I should come the next morning to talk to another guy. This hotel is a joke. I arrived late last night and was greeted with a very rude receptionist. He told us we had to pay another $68 for resort fee plus $100 for a security deposit. Of course none of this was told to us when we booked the hostel (we don’t even consider this a hotel). The rooms are nothing like you see online. We were told we had one of the best rooms and I have never been more disgusted in my life. We asked for towels and the guy dropped. It. On. The. Floor. And then proceeded to give it to us anyways. With all the hair and dirt still on the towels. The toilet did not work, no tissues were provided. The shower only had cold water. The sheets looked like they had not been washed in years. The electricity did not work in our room, the AC was controlled by the front desk. It reeked like weed the entire time. It was a horrible experience. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights, but we ran out after the first night. I would never recommend this “hotel” to anyone, even the homeless. I’m sorry, I wish I can say this was an exaggeration but this is the truth.

The lobby definitely tricks you into thinking this is a nicer hotel than it is. “Motel” should be the word used. Walls are paper thin and had no hot water. However, you pay for what you get. It’s a cheap stay and a great location. The staff was helpful and if you only need it for a place to sleep for the night it’s not a bad stay.

Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to the beach and 15 minute ride to south beach. Also about 20-25 minutes from the airport. Plumbing was a bit outdated and not much parking. Make sure to reserve a parking spot on their lot otherwise you’re left to find spots on street or pay crazy money to park in a garage.

It takes a lot for me to complain or write a bad review but this needs to be said. Don't go by the photos for these rooms because thats not what you get. I wish i could post pictures i took. This place is very run down and dirty. From black mold in the shower, dirty non swept floors, and vents you can hear other people in thier rooms. I spent 3 days there and never once house keeping came in with fresh towels or toiletries. I got 2 bars of soap that were a little bigger than a quarter and one small pouch of shampoo. There was only two towels on the bed. One for the shower and a stripped one for the pool or beach i guess. No wash cloth or hand towl. Theres no thermostat or AC in the room. Only a vent with central air. So whatever they have it set at is what you get. Don't waste your money here.

Just say NO. this place is horrible!!! Old and out dated. Rooms are basic. No temperature control. No amenities. Couldn’t check in until 4 pm and only one person at the desk. Then they charged an extra $20 for “resort fees” - this is NOT a resort. Oh and we’re on the 3 rd floor and NO ELEVATOR. Do not stay here.

Pathetic staff. There was no ‘cold, water in the bathrooms, furniture was in a pathetic condition. Although this might be one of the cheapest accommodation in the area but it’s 0 value for money if you take into account what you get for the money.

When you book an hotel in Miami Beach you expect something better but this place is old and dirty. I think this is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in my life. Bathrooms uncomfortable, towels old and stinky, bedsheets maybe older than me. Just not what you expect from Miami Beach.

When we initially checked in the said it was $25 to do early check in even though the email said they had complimentary check in after 2:00 PM. The room was dirty the sheets and blanket smelled terrible. There were stains on the mattress and on the pillow cases. We had to ask for a towel because they only gave us one and they guy at the front desk was upset about it and gave it to us with an attitude. The TV was very tiny and the Roku remote didn’t work unless you stood directly in front of the tv. Simon was very dismissive when we initially checked in and explained to him that the email told us we could do complimentary check in. We had to pay a location fee which they didn’t tell us when we booked. We didn’t have toilet paper and when we asked for some it took forever to get it. DO NOT STAY HERE the pictures on the website are very deceiving!
