I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I wish i could give them 10 Stars, Everyone was helpful. Stanley at the front dest helped us with everything. Our rooms were clean, our view was amazing. Only thing i wasnt happy about was that the Basketball court is not included in the $15+ daily resort fee. Besides that everything was great.

Nice hotel overall

I stayed here for my birthday vacation and it was amazing I felt like I was on another planet. The staff were wonderful they helped me and my sister with our bags and opened the doors for us to get in our lyft. Great Experience. The pictures do not give this hotel ENOUGH credit! It looks even better in person. I will be returning!

Luxury hotel in the heart of Miami

We had a great experience during our stay. The hotel was clean with great amenities. the staff were courteous and made our experience even that more special. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxury feel without breaking the bank. The only issue is the parking. They charge you $45 a night for parking.

fine staycation at JW Marriott Marquis Miami

Cons: Only three of four elevators were working during my one-week stay. This resulted in long waits in elevator lobbies as well heavy passenger loads.
Location: I was on a staycation, and didn't venture far except to the grocery store and pharmacy nearby.
Though I live in DC, I decided to go to Miami for a staycation -- meaning complete vegging out, getting away from my usual routine, and spending a week in and around the hotel. When I arrived at the Marquis, I was greeted by a friendly man who told me that I would be staying not in the Marriott proper, but in a suite in the separate Hotel Beaux Arts, which is on the top three floors of the building. I had my own check-in with the concierge and went to my sprawling suite that had dark hardwood floors, a huge bedroom and bath with Jacuzzi, a guest bathroom, an office nook, a wet bar, and a lounge with a leather sectional sofa and two tables. For the price I paid, this was a bargain. Vegging as I was, I spent most of my time by the outdoor pool on the 19th floor. Being summer, there weren't too many quests, and I found the pool area to be fairly quiet during my week-long stay. I love to sit at a pool, but am sensitive to sunlight, so I was happy to find that the peak tanning hours were the only time that there was a lot of direct sunlight. As the pool is on the 19th floor, there was almost always a constant, cooling breeze that made it seem I was up north again. I don't like humidity, so it was a pleasure to lounge around in a cool atmosphere that one might not expect in Miami.

Stay for 3 nights and first day NO room services!

Me and my 2 friends stay for 3 nights and when we came back from outside during midnight we found out that they did NOT make up our room and we double checked that we did NOT press the "Privite" bottom. The second and third day, room cleaning sucks.

Don't be fooled by the poolview no entertainment!!

While the hotel is magnificent it's a shame the main pic is of the hotel pool. The hotel pool is spacious located on the 19th floor amazing views but god forbid you would like a drink while sitting in such a spectacular area not even a vending machine. The closest bar was on the 2nd floor adjacent to a family style eatery not a cozy or fun feel with a bartender that was getting instructions on how to prepare my drink from a senior bartender right in front of us , not the nicest or most professional of service !! For that reason I don't think I will be renting there again.
