Quality hotel, Great Views

Pros: Water view with balcony, great view in an evening.
Cons: Prior notice (i.e. before booking) of the annual pool party. Not our style and prevented us using the pool for 1.5 days.
Location: Bayside shops and restaurants, Miami beach.
Fantastic, stylish hotel with great water views. Walking distance of Bayside, where there are various places to shop and eat.

Nice hotel but noisy

The hotel is nice but noisy and the ambience is more like a nightclub than a hotel. Although the room where I stayed was clean, it was noisy. I could hear all the noise from outside and the room next to it. I was tired after a flight from New York, I could not sleep because of the sound of the TV from the room next to mine. I tried going to get food at the restaurant in the 16th floor, which I regretted, very limited selection of food and very expensive, more expensive than in New York! The 16th floor was crowded with people dressed on nightclub and beach wear clothes. The crowd of people and inappropriate attire, makes the hotel look cheap. If you are looking for a place to rest and have a quiet and decent environment, this hotel is not for you.

I am a RN: I am so sorry to hear that this was your experience. We never want that type of ambience and certainly would never want a guest uncomfortable. We will certainly be reviewing what happened to prevent it from happening again.

My husband & I stay @ Epic to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary. We enjoyed everything about the Hotel.

Great hotel with nice views

Staff was excellent! We asked for a higher floor since we were placed one floor above the pool and they didn't hesitate to give us a new room. It was a Friday night so the pool deck and bar area got pretty noisy at night but the rooms are excellent at blocking noise. Valet parking got a little crazy at night but you could tell the workers were doing their best. Overall, a great hotel. Beautiful view over the water and of the city!

Great Location and Walkability

Pros: Great location. Great amenities. Great spa. Great restaurants.
Cons: I went to the pool in the late afternoon and was dismayed to find no staff- nobody to set up a chaise, cleaning up towels or offering drinks.
Location: Whole Foods is across the street. Mary Brickell Village is a lovely and vibrant place to find shops and numerous restaurants.
I had business in Miami and Epic offered the perfect location, close to shops and restaurants, with easy access to the airport.

TERRIBLE

THE HOTEL IS PRETTY, HOWEVER THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH RESTAURANTS. AREA 31 RESTAURANT ONLY SERVES BUFFET LIKE GOLDEN CORRAL, BUT CHARGES OUTRAGEOUSLY. BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS $25 PER PERSON FOR POWDERED EGGS AND COLD FOOD. PARKING WAS $39 PER NIGHT WHICH IS ALSO TOO HIGH AND WHO KNOWS WHAT I SPENT ON TIPPING THE VALET AND THEY LOST THE CAR 1 TIME AND WE WAITED 45MIN FOR THEM TO FIND IT. THE ROOM IS OKAY, THE BEDS ARE TOO SMALL OR RATHER TOO SHORT AND THEY GIVE SHAMS TO SLEEP NO PILLOWS WHICH WERE NOT COMFORTABLE. THE AIR HAD TO SET TO 62 TO WORK AND THE BATHROOM FLOOR AND BALCONY TILE WERE DIRTY. I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.
