The elevator was sketchy at best, the pool is under the take off runway for Miami International Airport, the building is tired, needs paint and the staff are tired, but willing to help. The bathrooms in the lobby were dirty, the lobby was dark, small and also served as breakfast area in the morning. While my family was thrilled with the waffles, there was little else offered for breakfast. My son left his headphones on the shuttle bus, we called the hotel who radioed out to the driver and the headphones were conveniently “not found”. Thanks for trying, not really. Once in the rooms the sound of the airplanes taking off was muffled enough that all of us were able to sleep, thankfully. The rooms were, unfortunately, more of the same as the outside of the hotel, needing paint, tubs needed caulking, the door in between our room and the next room had a large gap between the floor and the bottom of the conjoining room. (Not our kids room.) The “gap” was almost 4” and required 2 towels rolled up and shoved underneath to give some sense of privacy. The lock between the two rooms, well, I think the towels on the floor provided more than the lock did. If you are looking for a medium priced hotel close to the airport, this hotel is overpriced for the product, but close to the airport with a free shuttle. Don’t leave anything on the shuttle though, it won’t be “found”.
