This property is old, feels old, but interesting for the Art Deco style from the 40s. The rooms are spacious, but you can hear everything that goes on in the hallways. A couple of times I woke up when the neighbors went into their room, it sounded like they were coming into mine. There were also some revelers that came in around 2am that added to the noise. Our bed was very hard and on metal frames which didn't give much. The TV in our room didn't work (not that we watch much TV anyway). The staff is friendly and try to help, but most don't speak English or English is not necessarily their primary language (this is not a problem, just an observation. have translation apps available). The area around this hotel is very expensive as far as food is concerned, and has a very large and eclectic selection within walking distance. The elevator is quaint and has fun charm, but takes a bit to get used to. The best part of this hotel is the beach being right across the street. This makes this a great location if you love the beach. Our windows didn't look out on the beach and that would have been nice, but not a ding on the property.

There was a fist fight outside of my room at 1 am and it was loud. Lots of partying going on. Not some where you would stay to relax. Other then that that room was nice and the location was great.

Mixed bag at this property. Staff was very helpful, but first floor rooms are very noisy because they are off the main restaurant areas .doors separating the lobby/restaurant from the hallway don’t dampen sound— we heard people all night long. But I guessing upper floors are quieter. Beds were not good. Really hard and not very plush linens. Tiny bathroom (old building— to be expected), but had to run water for 7-8 min before we got hot water. Quirky stay— but the location can’t be beat and the valet team was great! Good for adult travelers but wouldn’t recommend for families with small children.

Typical hotel in South Beach, small with a restaurant out front, limited space to move around. Unfortunately this place has an electrical issue as power went out our first night, and was out for awhile. Had to get dressed in the dark, no generator. The next morning, lights kept flickering off and on. Highly doubt I’ll stay here again. For $300 /night I’d expect better.

Outdated, cramped entry, very small elevator, outdated room, all windows in the rooms are covered up so you can’t see out. Small restaurant at hotel. Area is mostly full of restaurant bars and the beach, ocean is directly across the street. Would not stay there again.

It was a great stay. I was just disappointed that as soon as we left the room the cleaners were in there and I went back up 5 minutes as I forgot my phone charger and a $20 scratch off that was unscratched had already been taken. I left them in the side table but apparently they never saw them.

The room is very clean but is very basic all I got was a bed with a good mattress and a chair and some sort of a desk the bathroom was very clean all in all for South Miami Beach type cheap hotels it's a good place but if you have any kind of money that you can spend I recommend you get one of the big hotels, always try to get a hotel with some connection to a brand name because I've had horrible experiences in Miami Beach that's why I will only get an hotel that is connected to a brand name. All in all for South Miami Beach which is a beautiful area it's not too bad. The lady at the reception was exceptionally nice and very accommodating. To enter the hotel you have to pass by their restaurant, which is very noisy. There is no lounge or sitting area in the hall which is a restaurant as well only if you want to dine. At night you can hear every noise and the people that work at the restaurant talk very loudly to each other.

Everything is good , specially for vacation, like only to sleep, the only thing that I didn’t like is that it doesn’t have fitter sheet , so it move easy on the mattress when you turn at the bed .

One of our keys did not work so I went to speak with the manager. The hostess verbally abused me for mishandling the key then refused to allow me to speak with the manager or provide her name. We found roaches in the room. The hallway noise and commotion from other occupants kept us up half the night. Will NEVER stay there again.

Steve,While I’m very sorry to hear this, what you’ve described here is not exactly as it happened. The behavior that you exhibited with the young lady that was working, our front desk was inexcusable, regardless of the reason. We have audio & video surveillance at the Front Desk, which does show your behavior as loud and aggressive to the point that she questioned her safety and called the local police department. The other young lady with whom you spoke with in the morning, did not deny you the opportunity to speak to me. When you came to the Front Desk, I was not on the property. She did give you means by which to contact me, which you did not. Perhaps when you leave reviews of this nature you should actually be more forthcoming and give the whole picture. Safe travels.

Small room. Bugs in the bathroom. Thin walls and wood floors let you hear every step of the floor above.

As such we collect money on their behalf and supply the tickets at our front desk. We hope this clarifies things. Dirty, bugs, hidden fees, etc.
Where to start…. I travel frequently and stay in many different hotels. I rarely ever review and am easily please. This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. To check in; there really isn’t a lobby so the desk is tucked in the corner of their restaurant/hookah lounge. On top of the price of the hotel, and daily resort fee (not a resort) they charge you a $150 security deposit that you will not get refunded until 7-10 business days after check out. They will Aldo me making scanned copies of your credit card (sketch). We get to our room and the first thing we see is a roach running across the top of the bed. We quickly looked through the entire room and beds, we didn’t spot anymore bugs, but the room was gross. Thick dirt in all the corners and around baseboards. The beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The beds are covered in a plastic wrap cover, and they don’t have fitting sheets. The sheet you sleep in a a flat top sheet, that wasn’t even tucked, so if you roll or move at all in the night you end up sleeping on bare sticky plastic. Needless to say this is by far my worst hotel experience and I will not be coming back!
