Lovely property and exceptionally friendly staff who are attentive and welcoming. Dining options are not so extraordinary. No real accommodation for gluten or dairy free in dining. The beds were not comfortable very unyielding which was surprising for a quality hotel. The room did have a very spacious balcony. The room was not as nice as could have been expected. The in room toiletries were also disappointing. I would not stay there again. It would have been very disappointing except for the amazing service and staff that work there.

I love the service at mandarin orinental. They usually and beyond my expectations. However, some parts of the property are currently under renovation and no one let us know that before. So the pool area of the property was noisy and the beach was closed.

This property is dated and some things are very off for a 5 star hotel. Pool area is small but great view; gym is terrible - converted several small rooms into individual work out spaces. We had to pay for a daily gym membership down the road; coffee is not in room & only provided in lobby until 9am which is silly & doesn't help those of us traveling from other time zones. They charge $8 for coffee in the bar & charge for wifi. They brought us an espresso machine but w/mini paper cups - not 5 star treatment. Water isn’t provided in the rooms regularly which is annoying since we needed water for the espresso machine. We discovered that the property is being torn down in a yr which makes more sense for why they are cutting corners.

The fitness center was relocated to the sixth floor with all equipment, peloton bikes, treadmills, etc still available plus a new outdoor space to enjoy many wellness activities including yoga classes each weekend. Recently it was announced the site of the current hotel will be evolving, and a new Mandarin Oriental Hotel as well as The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami will be built. A small portion of the hotel lobby is being remodeled as a temporary design gallery for this new project. We are committed to doing all we can to minimize any disruption to our guest experience. As an alternative, we are offering our guests transportation to LA Fitness on Brickell and will extend a credit towards the guest account for this expense. I apologize this was not mentioned to you and will reinforce training with our front-office colleagues. Please know the charge for the day use of LA Fitness has been refunded to your credit card.It is customary to have bottled water in our guestrooms and I am sorry this was not provided. We will address this with those concerned to ensure it is consistently in place. Your comments pertaining to the hours of coffee in the lobby will be taken into consideration and we will certainly ensure a coffee maker is available in your room on your next stay.Mr. Loren, we apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will give us another opportunity. Fantastic stay
I loved this hotel. The views from the terraced rooms are spectacular. The room is sparkling clean. It was a large room with a great mattress and excellent shower. I ordered room service after sundown and ate looking at the water and buildings sparkling at night. The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the service everywhere.

Overall, good experience with service and accommodations. No complaint there at all. The one thing that stings is that I was charged for a breakfast that was not mine. I advised the staff at checkout and the issue was cleared. Now, a few days later, I am being charged again. Now I have to dedicate time to cleaning this out.
