Excellent hotel in South Beach

Pros: Hotel staff went out of their way to make me feel like a valued customer, especially recovering & returning an item to me that I forgot after checkout
Hotel is well located, close to the beach. Nice selection for breakfast. Room was very spacious, with nice mini bar and Nespresso machine. Decor is very modern, and room was clean. Wifi service was excellent.

Horrible noise all night

Pros: Location - walking distance to restaurants and beach.
Cons: Noise, control rear entrance and fix pipes in wall.
The room located downstairs at back of the hotel had a horrible loud noise in the wall - all night, it sounded like a pipe with constant running water. There was also constant traffic noise and truck deliveries coming in the rear door of the hotel which was located directly adjacent to our room. The walls are not insulated and the rear entrance is not controlled. The location was excellent, walking distance to downtown South Beach restaurants and the beach.Hotel staff commented that they could not help us since we booked directly through Expedia vs. directly from hotel.

Nice hotel good room

Three problems we had in our short stay. 1. There was no water available when we came back for the beach at noon 2. I was woken up by the front desk at midnight asking if I'd like to switch tv channels. 3. there was a false fire alarm at 2am

Peaceful, Sofisticated, and luxurious

From the outside of the hotel you would not imagine that you were about to walk in to a place that could rival the four seasons hotel or any other luxury suite hotel. When we walked in the hotel smelled amazing. They must have scents flowing through the vents because every point of the hotel smelled amazing. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The rooms were clean, cozy, and luxurious. The hotel is one block over from the beach. There's a lot going on outside but once you step foot in the door it's peace and quiet. When my friends and I came home Ron the club at 4:30am we walked into a quiet lobby and the lobby attendant greeted us with a smile and said "looks like you all had a fun night. Welcome back :-)" the level of service that was provided was simply amazing. I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel.

Understaffed

I have never stayed at a hotel where there wasn't always someone at the front desk .., I called about 10 times over a span of about 45 minutes and no one answered and by the time I went downstairs the lady was just walking up. Then when I told her I had been calling she told me that she knew and was on the other line and could not answer. They did that to me twice...other than that nice room and cleaning personnel where excellent

Highly Recommended - Value for your money

It was awesome! I stated in 3 different good hotels - the Marlin was the best as it delivered what it promised. Great breakfast, amazing rooms and high end quality and service of everything. Very friendly staff too! It is worth every penny you pay.

Hotel was understaffed, however, those that were there were nice and helpful. Our room was directly above the restaurant kitchen and it was pretty noisy.

Great location, not happy about the rooms

Cons: Greeting new customers
Location: Walking distance to Lincoln mall, the beach
Room was facing a back alley. Not pleasant at all. When asked for an upgrade, we were told that there was nothing available and what we got is what we paid for (exact words). We were expecting to hear something nicer !
