Nice hotel in the middle of Coconut Grove

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Nice hotel in the middle of Coconut Grove, part of the Coco Walk complex. Lots of nice restaurants around. Very nice interior, but definitively needs renovation - you have feel it, especially looking ate the furniture, balcony, sliding doors etc. In general - good stay.

Very loud at night.

Can't see anything from balcony, all the smell from restaurants comes into room if door open. Tub/shower is a huge awkward step. Dangerous for some people. Room is pretty.

Nice but going downhill

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Used to stay here all the time over the past ten years. Recently, it's been getting worse. The facilities are starting to wear down - need a fixer-upper. Most notably, the food is terrible and the food staff is forgetful and slow. It took 30 minutes to get a single fruit plate. The coffee was cold. Then, with room service, we asked for two containers of coffee. They brought one. We called down and asked for another and 45 minutes later it still wasn't there. The Grove is also dying. It used to be a hotspot with lots of fun things to do. Now, it feels like a ghost town.

Posted Nov 30, 2016
Pros: Tranquility, beds, hot tub, staff
Cons: None that I can think of
I have stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world and this 4 star hotel surpass all of them. This is a nice quite environment and with all the fountains creates a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely stay there again

Unique hotel

Posted Nov 19, 2016
It was a beautiful hotel. Neat location. Hotel was slightly difficult to find. Found valet not very friendly. Wouldnt help load bags onto cart and laughed at my husband when the bags fell. Liked the view and the room but would not stay again. Found that this hotel and area are not for the average joe. But if you have money and look like you do it is the hotel for you.

stayed a couple of nights for work

Pros: location, pool, character
good location - walk to restaurants. Like the "old miami" feel. The open atrium can be a bit warm. Roof top pool is very nice.
