If you want ice you need to bring your own

Location: Location to Bacardi Races, restaurants, buses, trains
My husband and I were in Miami for the Bacardi Sailing regatta and Mayfair was one of the hotels recommended by Bacardi. While my husband was out sailing and I was hanging out by the pool and going shopping etc. Upon arrival in the room, it smelled musty. The lights and phone did not work as they have been unplugged. We were in an ADA Room so there was no tub, just a shower. The shower head consistently pointed outside the base and of course the shower"curtain " was placed outside the base of the shower: So we had "floods" in the bathroom every time we took a shower. . So texted concierge to get housekeeping to mop up the area and bring towels since we were mopping up. Sometimes the house keepers didn't come for hours. I couldn't use the phone because I could not hear anyone ( thats why I texted) Housekeeping only came when texted for service and then not at all. Ice! Its hot and you want your drinks icy! I would text for ice a couple times a day. Most time it never showed up or did after we were in bed. Jacuzzi, we ordered the jacuzzi as we didn't have a "tub". They came and service it . But it never was hot!! it was lukewarm at best. So don't pay for this "service". Refrigerator never kept anything cold. And before my first night at check in, they charge my Visa $$$ for incidentals that I MAY incur!!! I more upset because they didn't tell me!!!So inconsistent in services. The money I spent for a 9 night stay with this kind of service or lack thereof is unreal.

Pros: Swimming pool, location.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Excellent location.
first, it suppose that check inn is at 3:00PM ....... was at 4:30PM ..... locks doesn't worked, I had to go downstairs 4 time and finally I had to wait 5 minutes for an "engineering & maintenance". Same happen during the staying. Many things doesn't work @ room, lack of floor cleaning and walls as well ....... restaurant too expensive for the quality they present ........

Nice "spa" experience

Good location and service

Pros: Great location and outstanding customer service
Cons: Very uncomfortable bed and pillows
Location: The hotel is located near coco walk. There are a lot of great options for dinner, live entertainment on a Friday night.
The hotel smelled a little weird when we got there, the room was nice but very uncomfortable bed. The pool and bar at the rooftop were very nice.

The service is really good as well as the food The building required maintenance, it look totally diferent as is shown in the web side People is very nice , specially in the restaurant where the breakfast is really good

Sometimes you had to ask for things liks housekeeping, towels 2 or 3 times.

My room bad damp smell hard to get smell out of clothes wife had get medicine to help her breath

Rundown hotel in fun area of city

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel for years and it's gotten worse. It's in the heart of Coconut Grove, which is great. But the hotel itself has seen better days. It feels old and tired. There is almost always something wrong with the rooms (2 years ago the windows wouldn't shut, last year there was a leak, and this year the thermostat was broken). That being said, the staff is always quick to try to solve the problem. The pool area has also declined. The music that is piped in is so bad that it's comical. The private cabanas each have a television, but there is no remote and you can't change the channel. You also can't close the fabric in front of the cabana for privacy. All in all, we'll probably return to this hotel because of nostalgia, and not for any other reason.

Nice hotel in the middle of Coconut Grove

Nice hotel in the middle of Coconut Grove, part of the Coco Walk complex. Lots of nice restaurants around. Very nice interior, but definitively needs renovation - you have feel it, especially looking ate the furniture, balcony, sliding doors etc. In general - good stay.
