Nice hotel close to beach

Hotel staff was very friendly. Hotel has great location and right on beach. Has a very big hot tub. Room was clean although there was a musty odor in room. I would definitely recommend this hotel due to location, price and friendly staff.

Great hotel and beach access

Love the hotel and staff. It has a personal/family feel that's hard to come by in such a tourist area. There is direct beach access and a pool and hot tub. This was our 3rd or 4th stay there and I'll continue going back. I have no complaints.

Pool area is unusable Room was dirty and never replaced dirty glasses during stay Front door gentleman are fantastic and helpful

THE RICHMOND treats you RIGHT

Not the biggest, or newest, just the most comfortable, relaxing hotel in SOBE.. near all, steps from the beach, great pool, best jacuzzi, best value for your dollar...Hotel staff is great, especially Gustavo & Martha from the restaurant.. they treat you like you matter, thanks for a wonderful second stay at the RICHMOND.. we will be back again... Close to beach with pool and bar

Pros: Access to pool, beach, shops, and night life.
Cons: Elevator needs attention, didn't work one day and we were on the 4th floor. Had to call for towels once, because none were left, and TV didn't work.
Location: Location was good with plenty water sports, shops, and nightlife with in walking.
Very close to beach and activities. We were able to walk everywhere.

Great hotel next to the beach

Staff was the friendliest I ever met. The pool needs to be cleaned and take down some of the trees in the pool area to get more sun in it.

The pictures lied!

The room/hotel is gross and old. The elevator even got stuck. Cleanliness is questionable. So many better hotels for cheaper. Don't waste your time!

Great hotel. Close to beach and shops.!

Staff was kind and courteous. Beach was right behind hotel. Pool and hot tub were clean and nice. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. I'd highly recommend staying here.

It was an average hotel with a great pool...

I didn't like the fact that homeless men came onto the property from the beach. They came and sat on the pool chairs next to me while I was having my lunch that I couldn't finish! One of the homeless men jumped in the jacuzzi with his underwear on. I immediately called the hotel from poolside and asked for assistance. Hotel security did show and asked one of the men to leave. No one thought to say thank you, or even offer to comp my food since I couldn't enjoy it. As a matter of fact the waiter ask that I pay for it at that moment. So no, I will not be staying at this hotel again...

Steps away from Sandy Beach

Pros: Nice hotel overall. Comfortable beds. Pool and outside hot tub were amazing. Closeness to the beach could not be beat.
Cons: Very noisy hotels around the Richmond made going to bed difficult. Thankfully they were done by midnight.
Location: Art Deco Festival on Ocean Drive was incredible. Always fun in South Beach.
We stay every year in Miami so we've been around on South Beach. We never want to over spend on hotels because we spend most of our time out on Collins, Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive. But at this hotel we wanted to hang out simply because the pool and proximity to our complimentary beach chair was too convenient. Mariano and Margariette were wonderful to us and made our first time visiting more than pleasurable. Will definitely stay again.
