Enjoyed stay at Riviera

Posted Jan 28, 2017
Pros: Cleanliness, location to beach and other attractions.
Location: Beach, museums, restaurants, dancing, shopping
My husband and I recently stayed at the Riviera Suites and thoroughly enjoyed the facilities. it was clean, conveniently located to the beach, shopping and other local attractions within easy walking distance. We enjoyed breakfast at Moreno's restaurant which is located in the hotel as well as many other restaurants in the area. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Miami, and would recommend it to others who are visiting that same area.

Nice hotel but dark

Posted Jan 25, 2017
The hotel was quite nice but it had very dark blue walls which made the rooms dark. The free shuttle to the airport didn't start until 8:00 which was too late and the bellmen didn't start until 8:00 either. There was a well equipped kitchen and eating area.

Nice Hotel

Posted Jan 21, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Need someone to answer the phone at the front desk
Valet parking is $42.50 per day but that is just the cost down there, but taking 30 minutes to get the car from valet was a bit excessive when you pay that much for valet parking. It was also very rare that anyone answered the phone at the front desk when you called and I only called for the car. I had to walk down there each time when I needed the car from valet cause no one answered the phone which of course caused me to have to wait 20-30 minutes. Hotel is nice and comfortable in a very good location of South Beach area

LOUD

Posted Jan 9, 2017
Pros: Suite was big.
Cons: Walls are too thin. Need more soundproofing. Add quiet time so people can sleep. Stop music at 3a?
Location: Restaurant on location that's good. Beach 2 blocks away but 2 more blocks to get beach chair.
Stayed 3 nights. Horrible sound insulation. People stomping overhead, next to us, along the hall, you can just hear EVERYTHING:( Front desk tried being useful but really weren't effective in asking people to quiet down. Loud music until after 5a! Stayed in Suite 107. Near elevator after asking to not be near elevator. Also near front door, and espresso maker. All combined...means no sleep. You'll want to bring something like a fan to drown out noise. Morenos restaurant is a Cuban place that is on the grounds and is good. 18% tip plus service charge included automatically no matter what, Just FYI. Nobody told us upon check in how to find the beach chairs so allow me to clue you in. Once you walk to the beach, go right about 1-2 blocks, look for the red, white booth, w/American flag. I prob wouldnt return. I just need more peace and quiet at night. Other than that, everything was fine. Keep in mind- Check in is def slow. Gym is on 4th floor in tent. Don't try to get their by elevator-use stairs. Bring ear plugs or fan for white noise. If you get a suite and someone is actually going to use the sleeper sofa, ask for bedding, it's not in the room.

Hi there! Thanks for your comprehensive review on Riviera Suites. We are glad you loved our tasty restaurant on-site, a favorite among hotel guests and Miami travelers! We are sad you felt our hotel was a bit noisy and that our team didn't respond with an appropriate resolution. We aim to accommodate all guests and it's sad we slightly missed for you. We do hope that based on all of your other details and liking, you will still choose us again. We can't wait to serve you again. Be well,

Close to all activities on South Beach

Posted Jan 8, 2017
Pros: Had a connected restaurant that was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bar was part of the restaurant.
Location: Able to catch public transportation, taxi or walk to restaurants, beach or shopping areas. Short 15-minute walk to Lincoln Dr and shopping.
We had a problem initially of not having hot water. Within 20 minutes we were moved to another room without delay. The rest of the experience was phenomenal.

Pleasantly Surprised

Posted Jan 7, 2017
Pros: Our room location was quiet allowing for a restful sleep
Cons: increased storage or closet space in the room, also water pressure could be improved as well.
Location: Within a block of Collins Ave which is the main drag on Miami Beach; at least two restaurants within walking distance less than 100 yards away.
Pros: room was comfortable, clean and ready on our arrival; check-in was efficient and well managed. Moreno's Restaurant provided an outdoor ambience with a plethora of Cuban fare( a little pricey but expected for South Beach). Cons: Room closet was very small, with no space for storage of luggage. Water pressure in the shower was very low, which was made worst by a shower head that needed cleaning. Parking was problematic however use of the Hotel valet parking was efficient ($42.50/day).

close to the beach but not really good

Posted Jan 6, 2017
The hotel is quite different from the pictures online. It looks old and the staffs are not really friendly. My room is close to the bar, and it is really noisy during night. I always could hear people talking even after 12 midnight. It does not worth the money I spent.
