Boutique Hotel near the beach

Pros: Nice rooms with good decor but the bathrooms were far too small. Bazaar restaurant was outstanding.
Cons: Attitude of the staff when a complaint was made. Very high handed. Bathrooms need a re-think. If you have an event tell the guest - up front!!
Location: Good location near the beach. Good access for shopping and restaurants etc.
Arrived at the hotel to fine that there was a music festival taking place, part of which was at the hotel. We then had to endure two days of sound checks on a stage that had been erected over the pool. Clearly the sound was dreadful and the pool was out of use. We should have been made aware of this fact prior to booking. It also made the outside cafe useless because of the intense noise. NOT GOOD Also, when asking for an extra tea bag because only one had been delivered to the room for two people we were told it would normally be an extra charge. The tea cost $9 per person in the first instance. Outrageous.

Disappointed in Miami

Pros: Very clean room.
Cons: Drink specials, appetizer specials, water bottles that cost less than $13.
Location: The location was very nice. Close to Ocean Drive and Lincoln Rd.
The SLS hotel is located on a wonderful beach. The hotel room was very clean and the the bed very comfortable. Unfortunately, the room is the size of a small closet, part of the daily resort fee ($35) includes a daily newspaper which you have to go to the main desk in the lobby to pick up and most days they run out of them. There isn't an ice machine available for guests you have to request ice by telephone and wait for it to be delivered. The pool area has very few chairs and very few chairs are available until late in the afternoon. The beach is lovely and and you receive 2 beach chairs daily with you resort fee, and this was the most wonderful part of our stay. There is food and beverage service at the beach and a 4 to 5 ounce cocktail like a Mojito costs $18.99 with tax and gratuity it then becomes $25 for a drink. A small bottle of water costs $13. There are not drink special, or drink of the day. 2 doors down from the SLS is the Ritz Carlton. They offer $8 glasses of wine, many drink specials of the day Mojito $10 and app specials. You really do not save any money staying at the SLS. The Loews costs about the same as SLS and they too have drink specials and food specials everyday. At the end of my stay I realized that I paid quite a bit for the SLS and received very little in return. The highlight of my stay was the beach which is the same beach as the Loews and the Ritz.

Not great value for your dollar

Very uptight management won't go out of their way to make ur stay pleasant. Wayyy too expensive for what it's worth. I have no problem spending money but I rather give it to a hotel that will do more for u. Clean but very small rooms. Friendly hotel staff. Hotel is cheap and greedy and won't di the extra mile.

Extremely small room

Good location walking steps from the beach extremely small room smallest room I have ever stayed at my entire life. No garbage outside bathroom No balcony Extremely small bathroom Feeling of being in a small box

Overrated, too expensive for what you get.

No wardrobe for clothing only one seat for two of us. No coffee or tea facilities in room. Too expensive for what you get. Never again. Blind broken. Breakfast $70+

Beautiful Chic Hotel

surprised my wife with a trip to SoBe and booked the SLS. what an amazing experience we had!! the grounds are impeccable, the staff is very attentive and Hyde Beach is AWESOME!

Terrible Experience

Room had a noise that came from defective or old elevators, all night the same sound. Room was small as a shoe, restroom like cruise size small. Very old hotel, not neat.

Three Night Stay

Overall I had a great experience. Check in was easy and informative. The room was nice and clean although a little small. The hotel is beautiful but there are two pools and if you stay there on the weekends one of the pools is run by an outside company called Hyde Beach which throws pool parties Friday-Sunday. Awesome if you like that stuff and are down to spend a lot of money to do stuff - if you are a couple looking for a romantic weekend not so much. The other pool is beautiful but in the shade for most of the day which blows. This leaves you with the beach which was our go to. Overall I would recommend.

Beautiful hotel right next to the beach!

Very chic hotel, staff is very attentive and kind. Darian in the front desk made sure that our stay was perfect. He even arranged a birthday gift (courtesy of the hotel) for my girlfriend to be delivered to our room.

Great experience!

Pros: Staff professionalism
Location: Great location, close to the beach, stores, clubs and restaurants.
This was our first stay at SLS, we have been there before while our friends were guests of the hotel. We were impressed with the staff! Super nice, polite and willing to help. On our last day as we were getting ready to leave the the roads were blocked due to a marathon, they offered to drive us a few blocks up opposite of the marathon so we could meet our ride to the airport. This service wowed us and will definitely be back on our next stay in Miami.
