The problem with the short club is not Shore Club South itself It was the customer service rep at the desk she gave me a hard a time she insisted that my card didn’t work my friend used his American Express Card in she said it didn’t work, I asked for the manager I was told the manager was not there at the moment and was not available I calmly asked her to try my card again and my card worked after the forth time. The representative was very vague unpleasant and unattractive I feel that is why she dealt with me that way , I didn’t arrive to the hotel until 12 o’clock at night so I didn’t get the full experience of the hotel and or the way I was treated I really wish they would have credited me another night it was pretty expensive to be treated like trash I would say that the Hotel needs to improve the representation of their front desk and making sure that every employee has a pleasant up to code up to par uniform and self , at the very end I was charge for the mini bar which I didn’t use any of the items in the minibar my card was just overdraft for mini bar charges and none of the items from the minibar were used or consumed

Bugs living in rooms
The curtains don’t open and you can’t see the ocean. This hotel is full of fine print and I’m not joking watch my video of the bugs in roomt when we asked for more towels. We asked -@ 3 and they had none clean and at 6 the answer was the same. No towels for you.

Luckily we didn’t stay at the property, but after evaluating the room I will never stay at this property. Please check your beds thoroughly. We found large blood stains on the sheets and even traces of bed bugs. Thankfully we left all our belongings at the door, and left before things could have been worse. In return, the staff was helpful getting our refund. The front desk staff is accommodating. Unfortunately, this establishment needs a uplift and needs to take care of these matters because it hasn’t been the first encounter for their guests. Very disappointed.

Upon checking in with my 3 year old daughter and friend, someone hurled a full can of beer from a top balcony that missed us by a step. It exploded so hard that it freaked out my daughter. Andre the manager was nice enough to upgrade us to a different tower so we didnt have to walk through the garden where the incident happen. In the wake of coronavirus their bathroom by the pool had no soap. I informed the bartender and waitstaff and sure enough went back to the bathroom 2 hours later where there still was no soap available to wash hands.

Everything was pretty good and we prefer SC to Royal Palm. The only thing I didn’t like was that when dining in the restaurant, the service was slow. I feel that it was related to the fact that the tip is already figured in.

The cleaniness was good. Very clean.. house keeping didnt provide us with washclothes 1 out of the 4 days we were there. The room seemed very small. I felt for the price we paid, the property was "saving" space and on toiletries.. But the staff were very friendly. The lobby had art all over the walls. Fridge seemed like it wasn't working. Fully stocked minibar and snacks but I was NOT going to pay 8 dollars for a bottle of water.

Pretty ambience

Only two elevators working - never bother to have the 3rd elevator working so long wait for the elevators- had construction going on next door, was so loud and dusty, fan in bathroom didn’t work, had a couple of broken concrete tiles in our room, called housekeeping 3 times for a blow dryer - never got it

Good, but missed potential
Overall, Shore Club was a solid choice for staying right on Miami Beach. Location was great--right on the beach; walkable to Lincoln Ave and Espanola Way. The pools and pool area were nice. Value was mediocre, understanding it is South Beach--reasonable prices at the pool bar would have made a significant improvement. The biggest frustrations were with the fire alarm testing inside and outside, which made relaxation a bit difficult. It woke us up at 8am on Friday and was ongoing for a full 15 minutes. There was also testing outside by the pool on a daily basis. It happens, but when you're paying ~$300 a night for a place, it's unfortunate. Lastly, the large jacuzzi by the second pool would have been a game changer on the two days that were unseasonably cold, but the heater was broken, which was a big let down. Made us not want to stay on the property to use the resort, despite paying $38 a day in resort fees on top of the regular room cost.

Clean, quiet and beautiful
The hotel was amazing. From the valet drivers to the front desk staff. Everyone was accommodating, friendly and helpful. I just wish I stayed a little longer so I could have used the pool. Will definitely consider this place next time I'm in South Beach. I was happy to see adults and couples versus families with lots of children running around (personal bonus)

Great location, Wifi is meh
The wifi in my room wasn't great. I kept losing connection and worked mainly out of the hotel lobby, etc. But the balcony view I had was really nice (towards the city) and everything else was really great.

The fire alarms were blaring at the hotel intermittently for the entire trip with zero warning from the hotel or Expedia when booking or checking in. A complete waste of money on the hotel and Expedia.

Property needs a facelift as it is looking a little tired. Hotel rooms need more hooks and perhaps some area runs in places to reduce the noise of the concrete floors. Shower doors needs to be fixed so the water doesn’t soak the entire bathroom floor. The number of beach loungers should match the number of people staying in the room, not only provide 2 and charge for any additional.

Checked in, the ac units weren’t working well in room, switched twice until I had a room w/ AC. Drew in particular was helpful with this matter. Otherwise shore club is all about location, so accept the fact that it’s not as new as some of the surrounding pricier properties. You’re in the heart of sobe. Hit or miss @ this property as far as rooms/service goes. All in all an average stay.

We were told on arrival that the Room type we booked (2 queen) was not available and there was nothing they could do. We viewed the alternative they offered and it was terrible. After we refused to accept, and after wasting an hour at the front desk, Miraculously our double queen room “became available”. Next day asked for an hour extension on Checkout (partially to make up for lost time the previous day) and were refused, told “no way”until we asked to speak to manager.

Great location with direct access to beach. Disappointing only to have one restaurant with limited (mainly Mexican) food. No power sockets near the bedside tables; insufficient shower gel and still using those small plastic bottles which are not environmentally friendly.

Great hospitality and staff. The only downside is that the hotel rooms are definitely very old; but the amenities (i.e. the pool and bars) are all beautiful. Excellent getaway filled with peace and quiet!
