nice hotel close to the beach

Pros: comfortable bed nice pools and beach
Cons: old looking loose tiles on the floor stains in the bathroom. not worth the money
Location: good location a lot of nice restaurants close by. right on the beach
location is good but the hotel has an old looking and need some major update. the tiles in the room were loose the bathroom tiles were stained and gave an unclean feeling. The stuff were nice and profesional. I wouldn't stay there again

Sound deadening is non-existent.

Let me first say that Sophia was wonderful. The rest of the front desk staff could learn from her. This is listed as a 4* hotel. The outside grounds are wonderful, and the pool area/beach are worthy of 4.5*; but, the hotel itself is 2* at best. Who uses water-based paint for shower walls? The orange color was nice, at least. The walls and floors in the room are concrete. Not painted, not styled, just concrete. Fancy...? There's no sound deadening. None. You hear EVERYTHING. Neighbors having sex? Yup. Elevator buzzing at each floor? Yup. Every door closing? Yup. Neighbors getting ice? yup. Neighbors showering? Yup. Neighbors flushing the toilet? Yup. Neighbors watching TV? Guess what... We didn't sleep a single of the five nights we stayed there. On the first night, the air conditioning was banging loudly (room 580). We walked down to front desk and were told (without looking at a computer) that they were fully booked and we couldn't be moved. I asked that we at least get someone from maintenance to check it out - "Certainly. I'll send someone up." Nobody came. We called down three more times and were ignored for 36 hours until Maurice finally moved us at 12:30am on our second night. So two nights with no sleep. No apologies until we spoke to Sophia the next morning. Our second room, 706, had a queen instead of a King bed, but we were content enough. But I guess they weren't fully booked after all... And check your final account - we were grossly overcharged.

Trendy and great location next to beach

We spent a happy week here great location stepping right onto beach and boardwalk. However, surprised to find extra 20$ charge per day for towels and Sun beds plus tips and extra 19$ Per day for shade! This was very annoying. Saff were friendly and happy to please but very tip driven costs added up very quickly. Limited wine list and very expensive, most Americans drink beer which also was expensive no draught or bottles available. Staff all had very specific roles and wouldn't transfer duties so if you asked the wrong staff for the wrong task they wouldn't do it the task got passed on. Incredibly annoying they should go and visit Doa a great restaurant across the road where they work as a cohesive team everyone works together for the customer it's swift and efficient. We seemed to constantly ask the wrong person and get passed on to the next to get what we required. I may think twice before coming here again.

Great location and great staff

The location of this hotel is great, on the beach and on Collins Avenue within walking distance of everything. The staff was great friendly and very accommodating. We had a beach view with a balcony, which was fabulous. The room was great, all concrete and minimal which put the emphasis on the view. The grounds are great, at night the area is magical with the small lights everywhere very soothing. Two pools but I never did the pool because the chairs/loungers were on the ground and I did not think that I could gracefully get out (I am over 60). The beach was the place to be quiet and great people watching. Breakfast included for us was perfect and the setting of the restaurant was a great start to every day. It may be time for a bit of sprucing up, paint job and change out curtains (the hems of our curtains were very dirty). The pool area was very loud over the weekend with a DJ but I suppose that is the appeal for some in Miami!

The staff are very nice and attentive. Rooms are clean and roomy with views of the water. Poolside service is great. Always an a plus experience.

Booked my mom a weekend getaway for Christmas.

I stayed at the shore club in August for a meeting for work and it was great. When I booked for January I knew the experience would be great. As I checked in my room was upgraded for free. Staff was great very friendly and the hotel was spotless. Can't wait To go back!

Trendy sophisticated hotel on the Beach.

Enjoyed the Hotel and superb room with ocean view. Restaurant open for breakfast and lunch BUT not for Dinner. A bit strange but hundreds of restaurants within 2 minutes walk

Clean hotel and good beach service. Front desk is a little incompetent and frustrating to deal with checking in and out. Concierge is friendly and the rooms are cool. Realistically a couples hotel, don't bring your kids

Great Location!

Pros: Great location! Great views from the room!
Cons: The hotel in general needs a major renovation. Also, I wish the pool was more wide open to let the sun in fully instead of being covered in shade.
I was very hesitant to stay here because I never stay at any hotels with a sub 4.0 rating. But I decided to take a chance because of its location and price. I was pleasantly surprised and glad I chose this hotel! The location couldn't have been any better. It's in a prime location right on the beach in the heart of South Beach. It's close to all the restaurants, shops, and bars. And the beach is right there. We decided to upgrade our room to a suite on the 19th floor, and we are so glad we did. The view from the balcony was simply beautiful. It really helped offset some of the negative things about the hotel. The hotel does desperately need a renovation. We were told the hotel is planning to shut down in the near future for renovations and upgrades. Nevertheless, we loved our stay at the Shore Club and would gladly stay there again!
