Great location

Nice place, but got back to the hotel late there was blood on the front steps, that was very troubling. Not sure how it got their or why.....

Couldn't be closer to the beach!

Pros: Right in the center of Soth Beach.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Excellent
Nice hotel near the everything. Loved it. Employees very pleasant and friendly .

Is not to be expected. Very confusing for Expedia to say one thing and actual hotel says otherwise

cockroach!

I get up to go to the bathroom and found a cockroach walking on the mirror! Seriously? Cannot sleep for the rest of the night! Disappointed!

Great location, and that's it.

The location was great- right across the street from the beach. But that's about all this hotel has going for it. There was a COCKROACH in our room. The staff was not very helpful. We told them about the cockroach and they were not very concerned at all. We left the room one day and came back to find that our room was serviced (the trash was removed and dirty towels removed); however, the maid did not replace the towels with fresh ones, we had no toilet paper, and the beds were not made. When we first arrived we were in a room with a broken bed, but luckily we got switched. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

I would not stay here again due to too many issues. The first impression was poor as the young man at the front desk upon check-in was uninterested and largely unhelpful (many of my questions were met with shrugs). He answered the phone twice during my check-in conversation. The room was fine and decent but needed a table and chair. The biggest issue was noise. Every night I was awoken several times at all hours but extremely noisy guests. I get it, it's south beach and a party district, but the hotel did not police noise in any way. One night, at 4am when I was checking out to catch an early flight, I alerted the front desk to what was clearly a party of some sort down the hall. The same inept front desk guy I checked in with again shrugged and said 'yeah'. That was it, 'yeah'. He clearly didn't want to deal with a possible confrontation with the partygoers. The restaurant out front is also obnoxiously loud and uninviting. The location is a positive, as I said the room was fine, and the price ok. But the negatives strongly outweigh any positives.

Miami Beach

Was spring break weekend, so the whole strip was crazy would not have stayed in Miami Beach if we knew that! But hotel and room was nice and comfortable!

My experience with The Colony Hotel on South Beach

Pros: The location was excellent, right across from the beach. Breakfast was good, although that $65 lunch menu, I was not feeling at all.
Cons: upgrades
Location: Everything was near by, Fat Tuesdays, Wet Willies, beach.
Overall, the experience I had was ok. The problems I had with the Hotel was that in my room, the TV wasn't working the 1st day I arrived, and there was not soap holder in the shower. The hot and cold water faucets were on the opposite side, not that big of a deal but when you are use to the hot and cold on the correct side, you wont be surprised. Also, there was construction going on with the space next to the Hotel. If you not an early riser, then you will be if you stay here. Jack hammers, machinery making noise. I wish they would have informed me before I rented a room here.
