On the beach!

Get the room with the balcony on the ocean it's worth the money. Walgreens across the street to stock your room with water. Everything on the street is open late.

Very relaxing poolside

Posted Feb 12, 2017
Pros: It was clean. The staff was very nice.
Cons: There should be no need for a resort fee. Especially if you are not able to use all the services during your short stay
Location: We took an Uber everywhere to get good food and entertainment.
We arrived early for check in but they gave us our resort wristbands and we were able to enjoy the pool area. We had access to all the amenities. The staff was super friendly. The building itself is old but for the most part well kept. I have stayed in better places for less money. Not sure why it has to be so expensive plus pay a resort fee??

Old and dirty!

Posted Feb 8, 2017
There were hair ties left from previous tenenat and room had a foul odor. Next time I'll pay more for a more satisfying room. $30 per day parking fees and $25 per day service fees. Paid more than double the expected cost.

Stunning ocean view

Posted Feb 3, 2017
When I was booking this hotel I focused only on the words 'ocean view' and if that is what you want at a reasonable price then go for it. However the check in was a mess, the staff are not well trained, they do not know how to sort out problems and the room amenities are really poor. One example is that there was a safe in the room but it was not bolted down. You could pick it up and carry it away - completely defeats the purpose. Another example, there was no hairdryer in the room. When I phoned housekeeping to ask (with wet hair), they first sent someone to check I was telling the truth, then about ten minutes later a guy turned up with all his tools and a wall mounted hairdryer still in its box! When I told him my husband was in the shower, he shrugged and walked off. Later that morning when we came back from coffee there was a standard hair dryer in the bathroom despite the fact we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Just total incompetence all round. We couldn't wait to leave.

Needs to pay more attention to customer service

Posted Feb 1, 2017
Pros: Nice big room with a great view. Nice pool area and great beach.
Cons: Service, facility
Location: The beach is beautiful and there are several nice restaurants within walking distance.
We had no internet except in the very noisy lobby. As my husband, a consultant, needed to work it was costly. Requested a chair, any chair numerous times but never got one. There was one broken chair in the room and a low hassock which was not useable at the desk. The Deauville needs updating - the halls, elevators, and furnishing are grungy.

Needs renovations

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Decent stay, but the hotel was loud. Two different conventions plus outdoor bar. Noisy until 4am. Wi-Fi was unreliable, didn't work most of the time. Outdated decor. Staff seemed annoyed by questions. Dirty hotel room windows.

Best part was beach view

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Had booked a room that was an option right under the penthouse room. Booked before christmas but yet was still told they dont have the room available. Was put in a tiny mediocre room with two beds that they said were both queens but they werent. They were full they refused to change anything. Not what i had paid for.
