A bit of a dump

The staff seem to be in a world of their own. Very slow, inattentive, clueless service. Forget asking a basic question and expecting any kind of correct reply (in English). We stayed 2 nights and they didn't clean the room. The rooms are a grotty relic of the yesteryear. The exterior of the hotel looks OK in the dark. All is revealed in the day time. See pictures of my 'partial ocean view'. Advantages: the pool area is adequate. And the hotel is right on the beach. It is also easy walking distance to stores and restaurants. So, if you just need a room on the beach for a couple of nights, this place is cheaper than other Miami Beach hotels.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Furniture
Location: Things were close to the hotel. like breakfast and dinner restaurants.
Water turned off twice in three days, furniture getting old, and no draws or closets to put stuff in.

Hotel close to the beach

The room service staff allways forgot to putting the enough towels and not refill the coffee in the room for next day. There is a hiding costs didn't tell you before you come to the hotel.

Not retro.... just old

Pros: Access to the beach.
Cons: The resort! I would have been better off at a motel without any amenities at all!
Location: There was one bar across the street. It was the only option for food accept a Dominos pizza. The neighborhood was pretty unsavory.
I booked this hotel because of the history. I had hoped that the resort and accommodations would have made me feel like a 50's movie star. I was disappointed. The decor was not retro. It was old. The hotel was run down and a little gross. The food was the same. The only good thing about the location was the beach access. If I wasn't in my room, I was on the beach. I didn't use any of the "resort" features. Not worth the money.

Disgusting Hotel

This hotel needs to be demolished and put out of its misery. The rooms are horrible. Rugs were dirty, bed sheets had pubic hair all over, bathroom door was warped and wouldnt close. The "white" bath towels were so used that they had a light brown color.....it was very nasty drying yourself and having that feeling that you are just getting dirtier. Very outdated furniture. Hotel workers barely spoke english and they were unprofessional.

Pros: Bellmen very helpful
Cons: Speed at check in and check out and number of employees at front desk inadequate. Some employees did not speak English.

Very old hotel

The consrtruction started Every morning with drilling and banging for hours. The Manager Mr. Ramon was nice enough to credit us the $25 resort fee.
