Excellent stay

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Our stay at the Raleigh was superb. Upon arrival we had a little booking mishap and the staff kindly fixed our booking and the next morning the concierge offered us a free upgrade for having to wait to check in! The staff is super friendly and kind. The pool is spacious and a fantastic place to enjoy your morning breakfast. Even the staff at the beach were friendly and attentive. We also had dinner at the hotel one night and it was great! They have a variety of healthy options and a great wine list. The decor of the hotel is also charming and inviting! We will definitely back for another stay and I would highly recommend the Raleigh for those looking for an upscale hotel on south beach for a fraction of the price of some of the other boutiques around Collins Ave!

situation art déco et plage

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: design
Cons: service
accueil désagréable, service restaurant OK, service à la plage nul. Design art deco intéressant, chambre spacieuse, jolie vue, située au dessus de l'extracteur de l'hotel mitoyen et donc surtout mal isolée du bruit.

Great Location & Vibrant Pool Scene

Posted Aug 5, 2015
Pros: Location, pool, lobby, history
Cons: Coffee makers in the room, pictures on hotel room walls
Location: Located right on the ocean with beach chairs. Near Lincoln mall. para sailing, speedboat rides, fishing, jet skis, bicycling, Near the Filmore Theate
This is a great location on the ocean and close to Lincoln. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Pool scene was terrific with the unique pool, cabanas, pool bar, etc. The hotel was very clean and had great history. I had booked a room with a king bed through Expedia, but when we arrived, we were put into a room with a queen. I asked about it, and the clerk explained that they do not guarantee bed size. They were able to move us to another room with a larger bed. This is a historic hotel so rooms that are not suites, are small with no chair, or desk, but a bench and a folding table. It was a bit sterile in that there were no pictures on the walls. All of this was fine with us because we spent all of our time out and about. Note- there is no coffeemaker in the room, and ice is in the basement. You can rent bikes from the hotel that cost less than the citibikes. One of the cleanest hotels ever!

Art Deco and welcoming

Posted Jul 28, 2015
We went on a rainy weekend so we were inside the hotel most of our stay. I don't think I've stayed at a hotel with a more personable staff. The decor was all Art Deco and I really appreciate how much they stuck to that era and theme. I will definitely visit again when I can afford it!

Would not revisit

Posted Jul 19, 2015
I paid for a ocean front room and arrived early. After letting them know we are going to be early and dropping off our suitcases they took 5 hours to get our room ready. They had people walking in that just got there and immediately getting their standard room keys. If I knew they prioritize standard room I would of not spent the extra money. They also included a 25 dollar internet fee that was not stated on their website. Bed did not have proper support and will squeak if there is excessive movement. Ruined the experience for me and my wife.
