Good location but a bit rundown

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Right across from the beach and central to all of the South Beach activity.
Cons: One of the window shades wouldn't close. A/C cut out on my final night. A bit more drab than some of the other Ocean Drive hotels, but still nice.
One night stay in South Beach. Marlins game during the day, met friends for dinner at night. South Beach has its share of traffic, noise and blazing heat - but it's also one of the most active and energized neighborhoods in the US.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Right across the street from South Beach. Chairs, umbrella, and towels complimentary at beach.
Location: Great restaurants and bars close by.
We stayed 2 nights at The Tides. Room, staff, and location were all great!

Exactly what we expected..top notch

Lovely staff. Everyone was friendly and made every effort to make sure our stay was wonderful. Hotel is close to all the night life and yet far enough not to be disturbed by it. We will be back for a longer stay...very soon

In the heart of south beach!

We had a lovely time at the tides. The room was magnificent and relaxing. The beach is right over the road. Great food all around. Perfect if you want to relax and party.

The hotel and staff were fantastic! The only issue was, we could hear the upstairs guests very easily as they moved chairs and tapped on the floor with their feet. However, we would recommend and stay there again anytime in the future.

Right next to the action

Loved this hotel, it's literally right next to all the south beach action without being in the middle of party (which I would dislike because I like relaxation as well as fun while on vacation). Super close to Lincoln road, friendly staff, huge room, nice decor

Still the one.

Pros: We like the spacious rooms and the location. Every room above the second floor have fabulous views of the ocean.
Cons: Rooms are at 80%, will need attention soon. The restaurant does not and makes no attempt to cater to the vegan or vegetarian palate.
Location: Great location, it's in the middle of where everything is happening.
Our room was on the 2nd floor, too close to the festive joviality next door and no view. We talked to Yalena at the front desk and she promptly moved us to a room on a higher floor with a great view of what one goes to the Tides for; the ocean, Lummus Park, and the parade of people strolling Ocean Blvd. We've stayed at the Tides several times and we've never been disappointed.

Memorial Day weekend

I have always enjoyed the Tides. You can't beat the location. The staff is always attentive and welcoming. I am noticing wear and tear that needs to be addressed. Bathroom mirror cracked, bathroom door stopper broken, wall paper stained, paint on ceiling chipping, sofa stained. It's the beach and wear and tear is understandable but there is constant maintainer that's a must to keep guest returning.

HOTEL « TOUR OPERATOR"

Posted May 17, 2015 on Hotels
