Nice but too loud

Pros: Location
Cons: Have a quiet time in the lobby so the other customers can sleep.
Location: Beach, food, entertainment.
I spent one night in this hotel after a cruise before my flight back home. I would have stayed closer to the airport but had never visited South Beach before and wanted to get a real taste of the city. I want to start out by saying this hotel is a pretty nice place. The room seemed clean as far as I could tell, the morning staff was great, and the happy hour from 7-8 is a nice little touch. You are a block away from the beach, entertainment, and some of the best restaurants. If you are looking for somewhere to rest your head for one night and get some sleep- stay elsewhere. I ended up in a room on the first floor right next to the lobby and I got little to no sleep that night. People are in the lobby all hours of the night at the bar being loud. The walls are very thin and it's all I could hear all night. I had to be up at 6am to catch a flight back home and I didn't get to sleep until 2am at least. I would like to add that they do offer a free airport shuttle and that was nice but for the amount I paid for one night and the lack of sleep makes me never want to stay again. If you are in South Beach to go bar hopping or clubbing this place is perfect but to get some sleep, no. It seems that they forgot that the main point of a hotel is for people to.. you know... sleep in.

Keep your stuff locked up

Service is ok. Forgot both our chargers and upon calling the hotel was told that nothing was turned in to lost and found by housekeeping. We only stayed one night which was probably a good thing, because who knows what else might have walked off.

Great location for the beach and eating and shopping. Very thin walls so not for kids. Hot water takes several minutes to reach temp. Not bad for the price.

Pros: Location and price
Cons: needs some updating.
Location: Beach, bars, Puerto Sagua (must try), shopping.
The hotel was clean, the location is GREAT, staff was friendly, and FREE happy hour is always a plus even if it was for a one hr. I can deal with dated interior because I didn't arrive to stay in my room. Three must haves when lodging - Cleanliness - Location - Friendly staff all three were seen. Thanks, and would stay again.

Lack of service and dirty.

The service at the front desk was terrible. Upon checking in, I waited 15 minutes while a shift change was happening and no-one even acknowledged me standing there. I stayed here for 5 nights during Art Basel - housekeeping came only twice in the 5 nights and never changed the sheets. I had to call the front desk for toilet paper and towels. The room keys kept deactivating and had to go to front desk to have re-activated upon arrival back almost every time. I would not recommend that anyone stay here. It is suitable to house your luggage only.

Great South Beach location.

Enjoyed the spot. Nice location, friendly staff, free drinks at happy hour. Had TV issues and buckle problems but I'd return.

Stay was great rooms weren't the cleanest but it was cheap so what can you expect ... still a great hotel I enjoyed my stay

Great Hotel but Don't Count on the Shuttle

My hotel stay was great. What I hated was the lack of communication about the free shuttle going to and from the airport. I was told upon arrival at MIA that the shuttle comes every hour on the hour. I landed a little after 1 so I just took a $13.00 Uber rather than wait a whole hour. Knowing this I planned my free shuttle trip back to the airport. I let the front desk attendant know that I needed to leave at 10 am to catch my 12:30 pm flight I come downstairs the morning I am leaving at around 9:45 am. The front desk informs me that I have to catch the shuttle from the Chesterfield Hotel across the street. I go there and get there in plenty time to catch the 10 am shuttle expect it NEVER comes. I wait until about 10:45 when the shuttle pulls up after I am lied to about it being on the way for 45 mins. The shuttle gets there and tells us not only was there never a break down but that we can't leave until 11:00/11:15. So the hotel staff at the sister hotel, The Chesterfield, lied about it being a breakdown and knowing that 4 of us need to get to MIA now they are going to make us wait another 15-30 minutes? That doesn't work for us so we catch another Uber and split the fare. Overall my stay at the hotel and the free happy hour every night at 7 was awesome but if you are booking for the shuttle. . .have a plan B!
