Room is average for a short stay.

Pros: The staff was pleasant.
Location: There is a decent recent restaurant across the driveway for Arepas and other foods. The hotel is also close to other shops and a grocery store.
The room was average for a short stay in Miami. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights prior to cruising out of Miami's port. There was nothing special about the hotel or stay, but it served its purpose pre-cruise. We had to unplug the air conditioner because it sparked and made a noise when we tried to turn up the temperature (it was chilly outside and the room was too cool for our comfort).

Nice hotel, great location

Nice hotel, staf was not pleasant. They even forgot that i was waiting for my room. And after not even a appology for the trouble caused. Room is nice, clean and spacious and great location. Shopping and restaurants all around it.

Convenient

Hotel staff was rude. The room didn't have any blankets on the , I had to call down to the front desk to get some only for them to tell me they ran out of clean linen for the floor so we had to wait until the next morning for blankets. That's ridiculous. The breakfast provided was old and stale. Muffins were turning colors.

It was ok, nothing special really if you plan on going make sure it’s really just to sleep.

To expensive for what you get.

The bath area wasn't very clean and the faucet did not work correctly, water only got warm at best. The room also had a musky smell.

Unacceptable

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I made reservations through Expedia for one night. I did not have power in my home yet after hurricane Irma. My daughter was going back to school in 2 days. I received the Expedia confirmation. When I went to check in I was told that my reservation had been canceled because my credit card had been declined. They stated that Expedia had sent me an e-mail notifying me. I never received an e-mail and when I checked my reservation through Expedia - it was still valid and had not been canceled. I called my credit card company. They did not show a charge attempt from Expedia or the hotel. By that time, the hotel was fully booked. While I was arguing with the man at the front desk (Anthony who showed no empathy), a gentleman from North Carolina was checking in. He was told the same thing! Reservation canceled, an e-mail had been sent. He said that he never received an e-mail. Coincidence? My power ended up being restored an hour later so I saved money. But I feel bad for the man from NC who was here as part of the post Irma recovery. Shame on you Baymont.

I am sorry to hear about your experience with the smell on the room, but by telling us that we can improve and deliver a superior experience for you and other guest.Unfortunately, the hotel needs a valid method of payment in order to authorize the first night of your reservation. This is how we guarantee all reservations and is why we ask for a credit card when making them. We cannot reinstate your reservation without a valid credit card.

Good location

The stay at this hotel was not a good one. The hotel shuttle drop You of at the mall and suppose to pick you back up but never came back, nobodody call or email saying it won't be coming back. I had to catch a taxi from the mall. The room was growing fungi, air condition leaks onto the rug, room stinks. The power went out for 4 days because of the storm. A big hotel like this needs to get a generator and their act together. The staff is unhappy with what there doing

I only wanted to pass the night and it was just good for that. Bathroom toilet should flush better, that would be my only recommendation .
