Great experience and close to airport

Excellent breakfast!! Beautiful facility. Close to airport and responsive, friendly employees. I didn't want to stay overnight but missed my flight and had to go out next morning. Close to MIA. Great experience especially considering that I had not planned to stay overnight in Miami at all.

nice pre-cruise hotel

We had a great overall experience here... rooms spotless and comfortable, only downside was dining service... waiter messed up mom's order, she sent it back and it came back wrong a second time....

Smell in room.old smoking room. A little far from airport. Hall carpets were fraid. Room was good side.

Careless Hotel Staff

Pros: Location - Not far from the airport.
Cons: Customer service - particularly professional courtesy and respect.

I checked in at about 8:30pm. First, the man at the front desk seemed awkward and unprofessional. He then gave me a room on the fourth floor, 411 to be exact, that was not clean. When I called the front desk to report that I was given a smelly, unclean room, a young hostile woman answered the phone. She offered no apology - only that she would give me another room on the 4th floor. About 10 minutes later someone arrived, examined the room and said the front desk staff doesn't inspect the rooms so they would not have known. This may be true but the front desk staff should have been trained to understand the concept of professional customer service!

Service Sucks

The hotel was nice, food was decent but some hotel staff service was subpar. When we arrived 2 our room we noticed a false eyelash in the bathroom ...this sent us into exploring the entire room. There were stains on the sheets, food stains on the pillow cases, crumbs on the floor, & crumbs in the room service menu & brochures. We alerted the bellman & he took it & suggested we call the frontdesk. When speaking to guest services they were apologetic & informed us that someone would be up to w/ keys & move us. As we waited there was a call from the front desk manager who informed us that he didn't have a room available in the same caliber as our reservation ( a Jr. Suite)& would need to downgrade us to a different room (a deluxe queen/king) or he could have our current room cleaned. He offered no compensation for this inconvenience, was not apologetic, & was crass & impatient when discussing options w/ my husband. I had to ask several quest (would we be compensated if we downgraded? our room was prepaid so how would the finances work? When would a similar room be available if we downgraded for a night?) After a unsuccessful conversation w/ him we agreed to have to room cleaned since we already paid for it & were sleepy from traveling. Several people from housekeeping came to the room speaking very little English creating a huge language barrier when attempting to inform them of the issues w/ the room. Finally the housekeeping manager (JANICE) came in& helped to translate.

I wouldn't stay at this Hotel!!!

We stayed for three nights and the place didn't have air. People were sleeping in the lobby. They wouldn't even give us a discount off of our stay. Definitely not a place we will stay again. The filters in the rooms were black and we ask for more than 2 towels and two washcloths and didn't get it. Grrrrr

Bad AC

AC was broken. Thursday and Friday night was tough to sleep. Was told on Friday morning they were working on it. Saturday was told it was broken and that they would comp me a breakfast to make up for it. Saturday night they did a quick fix and it got cooler around 11 PM....service was good..nice staff...bad sleeping glad it was not middle of summer in Miami.
